We are truly sorry to hear about the financial struggles faced. Let's bring this situation before the Lord together, seeking His provision and guidance.
Firstly, it's crucial to remember that God is our provider and that He cares for our needs. As it is written in Matthew 6:25-34 WEB:
Therefore I tell you, don't be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn't life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don't sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they? Which of you, by being anxious, can add one moment to his lifespan? Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They don't toil, neither do they spin, yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, won't he much more clothe you, you of little faith? Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don't be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day's own evil is sufficient.
This situation is an opportunity to trust God and experience His provision. However, trusting God does not mean being passive. As the Apostle Paul said in 2 Thessalonians 3:10 WEB:
For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: "If anyone is not willing to work, neither let him eat."
So, let's pray for guidance, provision, and opportunities to work and support oneself.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up this person in need of financial provision. We ask that You, in Your faithfulness, supply all their needs according to Your riches in glory. Guide this person to opportunities for work and open doors for them to support themselves. Help this person to be responsible and proactive in seeking employment and managing their finances. Give this person peace, knowing that You are Jehovah Jireh, our provider. We ask for the wisdom and courage to make the changes that could be needed to become self-supporting.
We also pray that this person will seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting that all these things will be added to them. We ask for the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, to guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
We ask this all in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Remember, God honors those who honor Him. Seek Him first, and trust that He will provide for all your needs. Also, be proactive in looking for work and managing your finances responsibly. God can open doors and provide opportunities, but it's our responsibility to walk through them. Trust in Him, and He will never forsake you.
Lastly, if this person has not already done so, we encourage this person to believe and put their faith in Jesus Christ if they have not done so already. It is only through the name of Jesus that anyone can come to God the Father for help, salvation, provision, grace, and mercy.
