Please pray that a loan my husband and I applied for will go through. We have been trying to consolidate debt and get it down. This will help us tremendously but we are worried about my shaky credit since we had to max out my credit cards recently when work was not producing.

We understand that you're facing financial difficulties and seeking a loan to consolidate debt. While we will pray for your situation, it's crucial to remember that God wants us to be good stewards of our finances and live within our means.

Let's pray:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You, lifting up this couple who are facing financial struggles. We ask that You guide them through this process and grant them the loan only if it aligns with Your will for their lives. Help them to manage their finances wisely and provide for their needs according to Your riches in glory IJN.

In the meantime, we pray that You give them peace of mind and help them to trust in You. We know the Bible tells us, "Therefore I tell you, don't be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn't life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don't sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they?" WEB, (Matthew 6:25-26)

As we look into the situation, we also need to remember that we do not need to worry and that we can come to our Father in heaven with all of our needs. We also read later in Matthew 6, "But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don't be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day's own evil is sufficient." WEB, (Matthew 6:33-34) It is only by the name of Jesus Christ that any of these things are possible. We need to start by making sure we have that relationship before anything else and pray in that name. Only if we believe in Jesus Christ as the son of God who died to save us and do this do we have the ability. If anyone has not done this, please consider doing it today in private right now.

Lastly, we want to encourage you both to live in a God fearing manner and consider seeking financial counseling from a Christian organization. It's important to address the root cause of the debt and ensure that your finances are managed in a way that honors God: "Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law." WEB (Romans 13:8)

If there are any issues from credit cards of other card companies heaped up for weeks, months, or years, this is called debt and has to be addressed. Consider the actions necessary to eliminate this debt and prevent it from happening again. Also, consider creating and implementing a realistic budget, prioritizing needs over wants, and living within your means.

While the wait, if anyone is not working, it is strongly encouraged and recommended that all husbands and wives consider employment opportunities to help pay for the debt. The man that does not work should not eat. 2nd Thessalonians 3:10 states. For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: "If anyone is not willing to work, neither let him eat." WEB. The husband should be looking for work opportunities if he is not working at all.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. We are trying to live in our means. We made a financial error a few months ago we thought we could fix but have not been able to. Until this loan opportunity came along. This will pay off credit cards that will no longer be used but instead put away for only extreme emergencies. My husband is almost done with school and it’s paid for by GI Bill and he gets disability from the military. Once done with school he does have opportunities lined up. We very very much know where we messed up and are not going to make the same mistakes again. We are praying for some grace here so that we can do this and get back out of debt. That’s all.
