We understand your concern for your son's financial situation and we are here to pray and provide counsel based on biblical principles.
Let us first remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 6:25-34 (WEB), "Therefore I tell you, don’t be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don’t sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you of much more value than they? 'Which of you, by being anxious, can add one moment to his lifespan? Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They don’t toil, neither do they spin, but I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, won’t he much more clothe you, you of little faith? 'Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don’t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day’s own evil is sufficient."
In Philippians 4:6 (WEB), it is written, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God."
We pray, Heavenly Father, we come before you in Jesus' name to lift up the son of this concerned parent. Lord, you know his struggles and his needs. We ask that you provide for him, that you open the doors for him to close his deals this week. Give him the wisdom and favor he needs in his workplace. Help him to trust in you and seek your kingdom first, knowing that you will provide all his needs according to your riches in glory. Remove any anxiety and fill him with your peace. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage your son to keep working diligently, as Colossians 3:23 (WEB) says, "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, and not for men." Also, remind him to keep trusting God and seeking God's kingdom first.
Lastly, we notice that your request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God (John 14:6). Please remember that it is in Jesus' name that we pray and receive answers to our prayers. If your son has not already done so, we encourage him to believe in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.
