Finances, for our rent, and bills

Please pray for my daughter and myself. About a three weeks or so ago I sent my car to a mechanic (He owns a shop and we have been taking my car to him about five years, when needed brakes, tires, etc. but since November last year when this started. (I thought he was a Christian and honest) to fix my car. He didn’t fix it right. We noticed every time we take the car back it would work for a short time and something else would go wrong and take it back. Now mind you each time we would pay when we thought it was fixed. And now my car is sitting at my apartment. My daughter and I work as a team doing deliveries and my car was part of our job. Now we need emergency finances to pay our rent and bills that are coming in 2 weeks. We have no family or friends to help us it’s only me and her. We are both looking for work but need a way to get there… please pray for us and the mechanic.

We are truly sorry to hear about the financial struggles you and your daughter are facing, and we are here to pray and provide biblical guidance with you. Firstly, we commend you for your diligence in working together to make a living. We are reminded of Colossians 3:23 to work heartily at whatever we do as we are working for the Lord.

In times of need, we must remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 6:25-34 WEB, "Therefore I tell you, don't be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn't life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don't sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they? Which of you, by being anxious, can add one moment to his lifespan."

In this time of need, be steadfast in prayer and faith, as God is the provider of all things. We also need to remember to give thanks in all circumstances, as this is God's will for us in Christ Jesus.

Regarding the mechanic, it is important to forgive as the Bible tells us in Ephesians 4:32 WEB, "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you." However, forgiveness does not mean that we should not seek justice or fairness. It is reasonable to hold him accountable for the work he did not do properly. Proverbs 11:1 WEB says, "A false balance is an abomination to Yahweh, but accurate weights are his delight."

We must also address the lack of mention of Jesus Christ in the request. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" We encourage you to put your faith in Jesus Christ, believing that He is the Son of God who died for our sins and was resurrected for our justification.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this daughter and mother in their time of need. We ask for Your divine provision, that You would supply all their needs according to Your riches in glory. We pray for Your guidance as they seek new employment opportunities, and for a reliable source of transportation.

We also pray for the mechanic, that Your will be done in this situation. We ask for justice and fairness, but also for forgiveness and reconciliation. We trust that You are working in all these things for the good of those who love You and are called according to Your purpose.

Lord, we also pray for their faith, that they would put their trust in Jesus Christ alone. We ask that You would reveal Yourself to them in a powerful way, and that they would know the love and salvation that is only found in Jesus.

We've been praying for you both, asking God to provide in miraculous ways. We believe that He will open doors for new jobs, and even for someone to help with your car situation. Let's keep our eyes fixed on Him, knowing that He's working everything out for our good.

In the meantime, let's not forget to be kind and forgiving, even towards the mechanic. We can still hold him accountable, but let's do it with love and grace. And most importantly, let's keep Jesus at the center of it all. He's our hope, our provider, and our peace in every circumstance.
