Finances and marriage

I am having issues with the IRS and it is causing a strain on my marriage and family.

We understand that you are going through a challenging time, and we want to lift you up in prayer and offer some biblical encouragement. Firstly, remember that God is faithful and that He cares for you and desires for us to persuade Him in prayer.

For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit himself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God.

God is sovereign over your finances and your marriage. He understands the strain that financial burdens can place on a family. It is crucial to remain united and supportive as husband and wife. Turn your hearts towards Jesus and His promises for each of you individually and for your marriage, and family. Remember that God hates divorce and that the covenant of marriage and family is made with God.

For I hate divorce, says Yahweh, the God of Israel, and him who covers his garment with violence! says Yahweh of Armies. Therefore take heed to your spirit, that you do not deal treacherously. Malachi 2:16, WEB.

He desires for you to handle this situation with wisdom and unity. Reach out to godly counsel for financial advice and ensure that you are in compliance with the law. Pray together and make decisions together, supporting each other through this trial, and keeping God in the center of all of your choices.

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, without any wavering. For he who wavers is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. James 1:5-6, WEB

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you, lifting up this precious family that is going through a difficult time. IJN, we ask for Your wisdom and guidance as they navigate through their financial struggles with the IRS. Help them to make godly decisions and to remain united in this trial. Strengthen their marriage and family, and remind them of Your unfailing love and faithfulness. Turn their hearts and minds towards You, Jesus, and we ask for this in Your name. Lord, please guide them to godly counsel for financial advice. Help them to honor their marriage covenant and to be faithful towards each other and to You.

In Jesus' name, we pray and ask these things. Amen.

We're here with you, sister. We know it's tough when finances and family collide, but remember, God is in the midst of it all. He sees your struggle and He cares. Let's cling to His promise in Matthew 11:28-29, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls." Let's lean into Jesus together, finding our rest and strength in Him.

Let's also remember Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." He's there to heal and bind up the wounds in your marriage and family. Trust in His healing power.

We're praying for you, that God would grant you peace, wisdom, and unity in this trial. We're believing for a breakthrough in your finances and for your marriage to be strengthened. We're also asking God to guide you to wise counsel for your financial situation. Let's keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, trusting that He's working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28).

Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. Bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, and Your righteousness. Help and strengthen me God to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.

God heal me. Deliver and cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the grace and knowledge of Christ Jesus. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul.
