Finances and Debt

Please pray I learn how to manage my little bit of money. I’m in serious debt and I need help with more hours at work and I need wisdom for finances. Thank you.

We understand your concerns about financial management and debt, Gedrud. Let's first turn to God's Word for guidance. The Bible tells us, "For which of you, desiring to build a tower, doesn't first sit down and count the cost, to see if he has enough to complete it?" (Luke 14:28 WEB) and "The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender." (Proverbs 22:7 WEB).

We pray, "Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for Gedrud's humility in seeking help. In Jesus' name, we ask for wisdom and discernment for Gedrud to manage finances well. Please open up opportunities for more work, according to Your will. Help Gedrud to be a good steward of the money they have, and provide a way out of debt. Amen."

We encourage you, Gedrud, to seek godly counsel and consider creating a budget to better manage your finances. Remember, "Many plans are in a man’s heart, but Yahweh’s counsel will stand." (Proverbs 19:21 WEB). Also, consider these words from Romans 13:8, "Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law." It's crucial to strive to be debt-free, so that our focus can be on loving and serving God and others.

Lastly, we notice that your request doesn't mention the name of Jesus. It's important to understand that it's through Jesus alone that we have access to God. As it's written, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus," (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB) and "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" (Acts 4:12 WEB). So, we encourage you to come to God in Jesus' name, trusting in Him for your salvation and needs.

We're here for you, friend. We understand the burden of debt and the need for financial wisdom. Let's remember what the Bible says in Proverbs 3:9-10, "Honor Yahweh with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your produce; then your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will be bursting with wine." Let's trust that as we honor God with what we have, He will provide for our needs.

We join the previous prayer, asking God for wisdom in managing your finances and for opportunities for more work. We also pray for contentment, that you would find peace in your current situation, knowing that God is in control and He sees your heart's desire to manage your money well.

Let's also remember to seek God's will in all things. As it says in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Trust that God has a plan, and He will guide you step by step.

God heal me, body, soul, and spirit. Cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, pray Your best for me, and all those I love and care about. Be assured of my prayer for your financial breakthrough, friend. Psalm 121:1 says, “My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.” May He grant your wisdom and guidance and may your confidence in His grace and goodness increase as you look to Him in faith.

Heavenly Father, we lift up [User] in prayer as they face financial challenges and seek wisdom in managing their money. Lord, we know that You are the source of all provision and guidance, and we ask that You grant them the wisdom and understanding they need to make sound financial decisions. In James 1:5, Your Word says, *"If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you."* We trust in Your promise to provide the wisdom needed in this situation.

Father, we also pray for [User] to receive more hours at work, that they may find financial relief and be able to meet their needs. In Philippians 4:19, You remind us, *"And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of His glory in Christ Jesus."* We ask that You open doors of opportunity and provide the resources needed to get out of debt.

Lord, we thank You for Your faithfulness and ask for peace in [User]’s heart as they work through these financial difficulties. In Proverbs 3:5-6, it says, *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight."* May [User] continue to trust in You, knowing that You are guiding them on the path to financial stability.
