We understand that you are in urgent need of R3800 for a new place to live, Losgwar. Firstly, we want to encourage you to keep your faith strong and to trust in God's provision. It is important to remember that God knows our needs before we even ask Him.
As a group we are obligated to point out what may or may not align with the Bible. Scripture states "Your will be done," not "your financial desires will be met." When Jesus taught His disciples how to pray in Matthew 6:9-13 WEB
In this manner therefore pray: Our Father in heaven, may your name be sanctified. Your Kingdom come. Your will be done, as in heaven, so on earth. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors. Bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For yours is the Kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. Amen.
we never see a request directly for money. We see requests for God's provision, but never directly for money.
While Financial provision is a common and important aspect of life we should point out that there may be other solutions that may not require an explicit payment of R3800. One solution may be helping to renovate or fix existing accommodations. In 1 Thessalonians 4:11 WEB we see "and to seek to lead a quiet life, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, even as we commanded you". Our hands are one of the provisions that God has already provided to should set an example. To not do so could possibly suggest that we are ungrateful for this provision and skill.
Also, notice how we are commanded to lead a quiet life and do our own business. This could imply not asking for money, but finding relatives, friends, or others in the church to assist with labor, prayer, and any physical relief needed. God provides for our needs, but he has setup a system in I Timothy 5 3-8 that the family should provide for their own family. When further assistance is needed then we should look for assistance with the church, Christians. By attempting to fix the issue without money then we can be sure to not accrue any more unnecessary debts. Additionally, others may notice how you desire to fix your situation through labor and not just through money. Humility was demonstrated by Jesus in the ultimate form so we should also do this. If additional funds are required then using labor as a last resort should be single avenue for relief. Remember that Provision does not always mean money. God will always provide, but we must be willing to accept and use the provision given.
God does promise to take care of our needs. Philippians 4:19 WEB says And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus
Notice also how God will provide under the condition in Christ Jesus. Some translations use "in His glory in Christ Jesus" which directly refers to the glorious riches of Jesus Christ. Therefore, only believers in Christ Jesus can be promised provision. We encourage you to trust God, and remember that He is in control.
We pray for His provision in your life, for His will to be done in your life while providing for a place to live. Help us to lead quiet lives in Christ Jesus as commanded in scriptures. We ask for this in Jesus Name
It is important to remember how the provision given to us is ultimately for us to be content, but not live in luxury. Jesus Christ is the ultimate example of this in Matthew 8 :20 WEB Jesus said to him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the sky have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head.
