We understand that you're going through a challenging time with your family's finances, and we want you to know that God cares about every detail of your life, including your financial situation. We need to remember the importance of acknowledging Jesus Christ in this situation. Remember, It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved.
Firstly, we encourage you to trust in God's provision and sovereignty.
Remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 6:25-34 WEB:
"Therefore, I tell you, don’t be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don’t sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you of much more value than they?
'Which of you, by being anxious, can add one moment to his lifespan? Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They don’t toil, neither do they spin, yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, won’t he much more clothe you, you of little faith? ''Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don’t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day’s own evil is sufficient.'"
We pray that you will seek God's will and guidance in managing your finances. Ask God for wisdom and discernment in your financial decisions,
James 1:5 WEB: "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of the giving God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him."
We also encourage you to be faithful in your giving to God. The Bible teaches us that God blesses faithful givers.
Malachi 3:10 WEB: "Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house, and test me now in this,” says Yahweh of Armies, “if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there will not be room enough for."
It is also important to address the issue of how you are approaching this problem. It is important to not be defeated and despair. The Bible teaches that we should approach problems with faith and a good attitude.
James 2:14-26 WEB: "What good is it, my brothers, if a man says he has faith, but has no works? Can faith save him? And if a brother or sister is naked and in lack of daily food, and one of you tells them, 'Go in peace, be warmed and filled;' and yet you didn’t give them the things the body needs, what good is it? Even so faith, if it has no works, is dead in itself. Yes, a man will say, 'You have faith, and I have works.' Show me your faith without works, and I by my works will show you my faith. You believe that God is one. You do well. The demons also believe, and shudder. But do you want to know, vain man, that faith apart from works is dead? Wasn’t Abraham our father justified by works, in that he offered up Isaac his son on the altar? You see that faith worked with his works, and by works faith was perfected; and the Scripture was fulfilled which says, 'Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him as righteousness;' and he was called the friend of God. You see then that by works, a man is justified, and not only by faith. Even as the body apart from the spirit is dead, even so faith apart from works is dead."
Let us pray together.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus, lifted up by your and your Son's love and faithfulness. We bring before you our dear friend who is struggling with financial difficulties. We ask that you take control of their situation and show them a miracle.
Give them the wisdom and discernment they need to manage their finances according to your will. Help them to be faithful in their giving, trusting that you will bless them abundantly.
Guide them to not be nervous or apprehensive about their situation, but to continue to trust in you and your promises. And help them not to be defeated and in despair, but to approach problems with faith and a good attitude.
We ask this in Jesus' name, Amen.
