We understand that you are facing financial difficulties with your restaurant and that you need a new car after your accident. We want to lift these burdens up to the Lord with you. First, what do the scriptures say about prayer?
Let's look to the scriptures for a moment. Notice in 1 Timothy 2:5 WEB For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.
It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved. The basic salvation message is to believe in Jesus Christ. If you believe in him and are saved, then you are guaranteed to be heard by God when you pray.
Now let's address your prayer request.
In Matthew 6:25-34 WEB Jesus says, "Therefore, I tell you, don't be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn't life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don't sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they? Which of you, by being anxious, can add one moment to his lifespan? Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They don't toil, neither do they spin, yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, won't he much more clothe you, you of little faith? Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don't be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day's own evil is sufficient."
We need to remember to put God first in all things, and He will provide for our needs.
With regards to finances, we should be reminded that debt is bondage, and the Bible warns against it in Proverbs 22:7, "The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender."
Debt should be avoided whenever possible. Buying a car with no down payment might not be a wise financial decision. In addition, we should work as if working for the Lord, and He will bless our efforts according to His will and timing.
Pray with us:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up ### and their financial needs. Lord, we ask that You guide them in managing their restaurant and bless their efforts to bring You glory. Help them to make wise decisions for Your sake and not rely on debt. We also pray for provision regarding their car situation. We pray that ### will keep their eyes fixed on You and not on earthly possessions.
Give them strength and wisdom to make decisions that honor You.
We believe in the mighty name of Jesus that we are saved and have access to You, our Heavenly Father.
In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
