Thank you, Julurgoth, for reaching out and sharing your request with us. We stand with you in prayer for a financial breakthrough for your family and your boss. We are glad you are having faith and recognize the name of Jesus and the help only he can provide. It is so important to remember that Jesus is our provider and that He cares for our needs. In His Word, so many times he suppplies for his followers. As we are told by Jesus in the Sermon on the mount:
Therefore do not be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?' 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well
Matthew 6:31-33 WEB.
God knows our needs, and He is faithful to provide for His children. Also remember that though you have faith there will be no breakthrough if it is not his will.
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7.
The power of prayer is immense but don't forget to do the best you can. Do not be lazy or even sinful in your jobs, duties. or life. As we read:
If anyone is not willing to work, then he is not to eat, either. For we hear that some among you walk disorderly, not working at all, but being busybodies. Now those who are such, we command and exhort in the Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread 2 Thessalonians 3:10-12.
Recall that the scripture says only Jesus can help. We read:
Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me Acts 14:6., and
in that there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12.
As it relates directly to Job and relationships with a Boss the Bible repeatedly stresses and commands the importance of respect for authority. It is important that we also consider the occurance of difficulty within our jobs. We read:
Servants, be subject to your masters with all respect; not only to the good and gentle, but also to the wicked. Then as we read in 1 Peter,
All of you be like-minded, compassionate, loving as brothers, tenderhearted, courteous, not rendering evil for evil, or insult for insult; but instead blessing; knowing that to this were you called, that you may inherit a blessing. 1 Peter 3:8.
Our behavior may be tested but it is only in accordance with our faith that we can transcend our struggles.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up Julurgoth and his family, as well as his boss. We pray for a financial breakthrough in their lives, that You would provide for their needs according to Your riches in glory. Help them to seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting that You will add all these things to them. For it is written,
"God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:19 WEB)
Give them the strength and wisdom to work diligently and to be good stewards of the resources You provide. We also pray for their boss, that You would bless his endeavors and that he would be a blessing to others.
We ask this in Jesus' name, Amen.
