We understand that you are seeking prayer for your husband's surgical wound, which has been healing slowly and has resulted in significant medical expenses. Firstly, let us remember that God is our Jehovah-Jireh will provide according to His will.
Let us address the issue of healing first. We know that God has the power to heal, as we read in
Jeremiah 30:17: "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh".
It is important to remember that God hears our prayers. Even though the wound has been slow to heal, we know that God's timing is perfect. We must continue to trust in Him and pray for His will to be done in your husband's life.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our brother in Christ who is in need of Your healing touch. Lord, we ask that You place Your hands upon his surgical wound and heal it completely. We pray that You will cover it with the precious blood of Jesus, that it will be closed and you will bring restoration and full recuperation.
We also ask that You provide for their financial needs, as the cost of dressing is exorbitant and not covered by insurance. We trust in You, Jehovah-Jireh, to provide for Your children in their time of need.
We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Regarding the healing of the wound by the blood of Jesus, we need to clarify that the blood of Jesus was shed for the forgiveness of our sins, not for the physical healing of our bodies. It is through His stripes that we are healed, as we read in
Isaiah 53:5: "But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed."
We must also remember that God's will may not always align with our own desires. While we pray for physical healing, we must also be prepared to accept God's will, whatever that may be.
Lastly, we want to encourage both of you to continue to trust in God and to seek His will in all things. Remember that God is always with you, even in the midst of trials and tribulations.
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. (Romans 8:28)
Keep trusting in Jesus.
