We are truly sorry to hear about the prolonged suffering of your husband. We will stand with you in prayer and believe that God can bring complete healing.
Let us first address the authority of Jesus in this situation. It is by his stripes we are healed. Know this and believe it.
We need to ask. Is your husband right with God? Does he believe upon the Lord Jesus Christ? If not, use this as an encouragement for your husband to draw near to the Lord Jesus Christ. "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." Know that you can trust in him during this trial. "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God", but the good news is that Jesus died for our sins and rose again from the dead. By accepting him as our Lord and Savior, we can have eternal life and a personal relationship with God.
Now, let us pray together.
Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother who is in need of your healing touch. Lord, you said in your Word that by his stripes we are healed. We claim that promise in Isaiah 53:5 for our brother.
Lord, please fill the cavity of his surgery wound quickly. We ask that you cover it with the precious blood of Jesus and let it be closed completely. We know that you are the Great Physician, and no wound is too big for you to heal.
Father, we also pray for your provision. We know that the cost of dressing is exorbitant and not covered by insurance. We ask for your supernatural provision, Lord. May you supply all his needs according to your riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
We also pray for his faith to be strengthened during this time. May he draw closer to you, Lord, and experience your peace that surpasses all understanding. We ask that these trials be used for your glory and his good.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Remember, God is faithful and he cares for you and your husband. Trust in him, and do not be anxious about anything. Keep your eyes on Jesus. Consider James 5:14-15, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."
If your husband has not trusted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior or if he has strayed from the Lord, then know that a repentive heart is needed. As he does, God will meet him where he is at and can use this trial to turn into something beautiful. "For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us."
