We understand that you're going through a spiritual battle, and we're here to support you in prayer and truth. Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging the struggle and seeking help from the Lord Jesus. It's important to remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world rulers of this darkness, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12 WEB).
The Bible tells us to take every thought captive to obey Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5 WEB). This means that as Christians, we should filter every thought and ensure it aligns with God's word. When evil thoughts arise, acknowledge them for what they are, reject them, and replace them with the truth of God's word.
Remember, God has given us the armor to stand against the wiles of the devil. The helmet of salvation, the breastplate of righteousness, the shield of faith, the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, and more (Ephesians 6:13-18 WEB). Use these weapons in your spiritual battle.
Let's pray together:
Dear Lord Jesus,
We come before You, lifting up our brother/sister who is battling with evil thoughts. We thank You for Your love and mercy, and for the power of Your name which is above every name. We take authority over these evil thoughts and command them to leave in Jesus' name. Fill our brother's/sister's mind with Your peace, Your truth, and Your wisdom. Strengthen their faith and remind them of the victory they have in You. Guide them through Your word and by Your Spirit. In Jesus Christ name we pray.
Remember, God is with you in this battle. Stay strong in His word and trust in His promises. "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you." (James 4:7-8 WEB). Keep fighting the good fight of faith, and keep your eyes on Jesus, the author, and finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2 WEB).
