We are truly saddened to hear about the struggles you're facing in your marriage, and we are here to pray with you and provide biblical guidance. God's desire is for marriages to be strong, loving, and full of respect, as outlined in Scripture: "Be kindly affectionate one to another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another" (Romans 12:10 WEB).
Firstly, we want to remind you of the power of forgiveness. Just as God has forgiven us through Jesus Christ, we are called to forgive one another: "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you" (Ephesians 4:32 WEB). Forgiveness is a choice, and it's a crucial step in healing and restoring your marriage.
Secondly, it's important to treat each other with respect and love, as God intended: "However, let each one of you love his wife even as himself; and let the wife see that she respects her husband" (Ephesians 5:33 WEB). This mutual respect and love can help to reduce conflict and strengthen your bond.
Lastly, we want to encourage you both to seek God's will for your marriage. Remember that God hates divorce (Malachi 2:16 WEB), and His desire is for you to be united and strong.
List of us join together in prayer for your marriage:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up this marriage to You. We pray for healing, restoration, and a renewed love between this husband and wife. Help them to forgive each other, to treat each other with respect, and to love each other as You have loved us. Guide them in Your will for their marriage, and help them to honor and glorify You in their union. We believe that with You, all things are possible, and we trust in Your power to save and restore this marriage. We pray for the husband to love his wife like Jesus loved the church as mentioned in Ephesians chapter 5. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you both to pray together, study the Bible together, and seek godly counsel to help you navigate through this challenging time. Remember that God is with you, and He is fighting for your marriage.
Lastly, if either of you have not accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior or do not know Jesus as your Lord and Savior we invite you to trust in Jesus. It is only through Jesus that we are able to go to God. It is only through Jesus that we are saved. Consider the good news of Jesus. If you have any questions about this, please ask.
