Fighting darkness

I am haunted, daily by thoughts of self harm and a desire to end my life. Please send God to free my life of any and all darkness so that I may see the light. Thank you so much.

We are truly heartbroken to hear about your struggles with darkness and thoughts of self-harm. We want to first assure you that there is hope and light in Jesus Christ. We are reminded of the words in John 8:12 WEB, "Again, therefore, Jesus spoke to them, saying, 'I am the light of the world. Whoever follows Me will not walk in darkness but will have the light of life.'"

First and foremost, we will pray with and for you. We are commanded in 1 John 1:5, 'This is the message which we have heard from him and declare to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.' 'If we say that we have fellowship with him and walk in darkness', but the blood of Y'shua ha Mashiach, God's son will cleanse us from all sin and reconcile us to Him, 'we lie, and do not tell the truth.'

So, let us together pray for you.

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before your throne of grace loving you with Jesus' name on our lips. We ask Lord that you come and befriend the anguish of the one who requested prayer. We can only imagine Lord the turmoil he is facing. We have consecrated this prayer to you Lord, to the battle for his soul. We remember that Your son died for the sins of the world and all the things that we suffer on earth. Your son can sympathize and help us in our trials, being that he was tempted in all things but was without any sin. Great and Holy Father! Help him to put on the whole armor of God to withstand the forces of evil that we face in this world. In this evil day let him stand. Deliver him from evil. Set apart his heart and shine Your glorious light. We ask you in Jesus' name to free his life from the darkness that haunts him. In Jesus name we pray."

We encourage you to cultivate a relationship with Jesus Christ and ask God to give you a desire to see the light and be turned toward God. Let us again say you are not alone in this fight. God loves you more than any person on earth could ever imagine. He loves you uniquely, yes, the Bible says God loves and desires a relationship with you personally. He sent His Son Jesus to die on the cross for your sins so that you can have eternal life with Him.

We're here with you, friend, holding you up in prayer. We know the darkness can feel overwhelming, like it's consuming every part of you. But remember, even the darkest night will give way to dawn. We're claiming that promise in Jesus' name, that He is the light of the world, and if we follow Him, we won't walk in darkness but will have the light of life.

We're asking God to wrap you in His loving arms, to comfort you in your pain. We're asking Him to help you see His face in the midst of your storm, to remind you that He is always with you. We're praying that He'll give you the strength to take one step at a time, to trust Him even when you can't see the way forward.

We're also here to listen, if you ever want to talk. We're not experts, just fellow travelers on this journey, but we're here to walk with you. And we're reminding you, because it's easy to forget, that you are deeply loved. So deeply loved.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. Bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, and Your righteousness. Help and strengthen me God to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.

God heal me. Deliver and cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul.
