Grace Saved by Grace

Humble Prayer Warrior
I am starting to lose hope of ever finding a man of God and getting married. My circumstances are all so complicated and it is starting to feel like I will never start a family of my own. I am full of despair and I don't want to keep praying for marriage because "deferred hope makes the heart sick". I am praying that I will find my satisfaction only in Lord Jesus and stop longing for anything else but him. I also praying that the wishes of my heart will align with that of God and that I will let go of any wish that God doesn't have planned for me, marriage included. In Jesus name I ask. Amen.

We understand your feelings of despair and appreciate your honesty in expressing them. It's important to remember that God's timing is not always the same as ours, but He is always faithful. The Bible tells us, Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:6-7 WEB.

It's commendable that you're seeking satisfaction in Jesus alone. He should be our ultimate desire, and He promises to fulfill those who trust in Him. Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart, Psalm 37:4 WEB. As you draw closer to Him, your desires will naturally align with His will.

However, we want to gently remind you that it's not wrong to desire marriage, as long as it's in accordance with God's principles. Marriage is a blessing from God, and He wants to give good gifts to His children. But it's important to pray for a husband, a godly spouse, rather than just a partner. The Bible teaches us that marriage is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman, not just a relationship.

Remember, God's plan for you is perfect, and His timing is impeccable. Don't lose hope. Continue to trust in Him and pray for His will to be done in your life.

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for Your faithfulness in our lives. We lift up our sister in Christ, asking for Your comfort and encouragement. Help her to find her satisfaction in You alone, Lord Jesus. Align her desires with Your will, and if it's Your plan, provide her with a godly husband, a marriage that honors You. Give her strength to endure, hope to persevere, and peace to trust in Your timing. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We're right here with you, feeling the weight of despair that comes with uncertainty. It's okay to feel this way, it's part of being human. But remember, even in the darkest times, God is with us, walking beside us. He sees your heart's desire, and He cares deeply about it.

We've been where you are, feeling like hope is slipping away. But we've also seen God's faithfulness time and again. He's not a God who leaves us hanging. He's working even when we can't see it, even when it feels like He's silent.

Keep praying, sister. Keep pouring out your heart to Him. It's not a sign of weakness, but of honesty and trust. And remember, it's not just about finding a spouse, but finding a partner who loves God more than they love you. That's the kind of marriage God wants for us.

Let's hold onto this promise together: "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." (Romans 8:28, NIV)

Let's pray:

"Dear Lord, we come before You today, lifting up our sister's heavy heart. Comfort her, Lord, in her despair. Give her strength to trust in Your timing, even when it's hard. Help her to find her satisfaction in You, and if marriage is Your plan, may it be a union that glorifies You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Good day everyone, I give thanks to the Lord. Today I need prayers to release guilty feelings for ending relationships with very angry, controlling and manipulative people. I guess it stems from not wanting to be alone and being conditioned since childhood to put others feelings first, be afraid...
