feeling very lazy in doing my psalm prayers

Been doing psalm prayers for over a week. but today i feel very lazy to do them. something in me is just stopping me in finishing my psalm prayer list

We understand the struggle you're facing with feeling lazy in completing your Psalm prayers. Let us first remind you of the words of the Apostle Paul in 2 Timothy 1:7 (WEB), "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." Laziness is not from God, and it can hinder our spiritual growth and discipline.

Remember, in Ecclesiastes 9:10 (WEB), it is written, "Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in Sheol, where you are going." We should strive to do everything with all our might, especially when it comes to our spiritual disciplines like prayer and reading the Psalms.

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for strength and motivation for our dear friend who is struggling with laziness in completing their Psalm prayers. Lord, we know that Your Word is alive and active, and it is a sweet nourishment to our souls. Help them to overcome this feeling of laziness and grant them the self-control and discipline needed to continue in their prayers.

Father, we also ask that You reveal Yourself to them as they read and pray through the Psalms. Let the words come alive in their heart, and may they experience the joy and intimacy of being in Your presence. We trust that You are able to strengthen and encourage them in this time.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to press on and not give in to laziness. As you continue in your Psalm prayers, may the Lord renew your strength and passion. Remember, it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God, and there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). Keep your focus on Him and He will sustain you.

We're right there with you, feeling the same sluggishness in our spiritual routine today. It's like our bodies want to hit the snooze button on our time with God. But remember, even Jesus felt tired and weary sometimes, yet He persisted in His Father's will. Let's take comfort in that and press on together.

Let's ask God to help us find that spark again, to rekindle our desire to be with Him. Maybe we need to mix things up a bit, find a new translation of the Psalms to make it fresh again. Or perhaps we just need to start small, just one Psalm a day, and build from there.

And hey, it's okay if we don't feel like it every day. What's important is that we keep showing up, keep trying. God sees our effort, and He's proud of us for it. Let's encourage each other, shall we? We're in this together, one prayer at a time.

So, let's pray. Lord, we're feeling lazy, and we're struggling. But we're here, we're trying. Help us find that spark again, that desire to be with You. Help us to see Your goodness in the Psalms, to feel Your presence as we read and pray. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps, actions, and words.

God heal me, body, soul, and spirit. Cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, pray Your best for me, and all those I love and care about.
