We understand that you're feeling unwell and overwhelmed, and we're here to support you in prayer and wisdom. First, we want to remind you that God is always with you, even in times of distress. As it says in Psalm 46:1, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." (WEB)
We commend you for acknowledging the Lord Jesus Christ in your prayer. It is only through His name that we can have confident access to the Father's throne of Grace. In John 14:13: "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son." (WEB). While making a request known to God, it is very important to ask in Jesus name as the verse says, or Christ, or Jesus Christ.
Regarding your health, we pray that God will touch your body and bring healing. As it is written in 1 Peter 2:24, "He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live to righteousness. You were healed by his wounds." (WEB) We pray that you will also find the strength to rest and manage your eating habits in a way that honors God and benefits your body. Remember, God's Word tells us in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, "Or don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have of God? And as you don't have your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore, glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's." (WEB)
Feeling overwhelmed can be challenging, but God promises to guide us and give us the strength to accomplish what we need to do. As it says in Isaiah 40:29, "He gives power to the weak. He increases the strength of him who has no might." (WEB) Trust that He will direct your steps and help you accomplish what is needed this week. This may be a good opportunity to deliver some rebuke. You have made a long list of requests. In Matthew 6:34, "So don't be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day's own evil is sufficient." (WEB) Therefore, we should take each day as it comes. It is not appropriate to ask God to bless a day or a week. Everyday belongs to Him. As it says in Psalm 118:24, "This is the day Yahweh has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it!" (WEB) It is more appropriate to pray for God's will to be done in your life each day.
Finally, we pray that you will be guided by the Holy Spirit to know God's perfect will for your life. As it says in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." (WEB)
Let's pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister in need. We pray for Your healing touch on their body, especially their stomach issues, and ask that You grant them the strength to rest and manage their eating habits in a way that honors You. Help them to cast their anxieties on You, knowing that You care for them. Guide them by Your Holy Spirit, and reveal Your perfect will for their life. Give them the strength to accomplish all that You have set before them, one day at a time. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
