Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus, interceding on behalf of our anonymous friend who is feeling cold and in need of your healing strength. Lord, you are the source of all comfort and warmth. Your Word reminds us that a cold prayer is no prayer, and we humbly ask that you would ignite a fire within our friend's spirit.
In Mark 7:24-30 and Matthew 15:22-28, we see the example of the Syrophenician woman who persisted in her request for healing for her child. Though it seemed as if you were deaf to her plea at first, you ultimately showed your abundant grace and mercy. We ask that you would do the same for our friend. Do not send them away, but instead, draw near to them in their time of need.
Lord, we pray that you would fill our friend with your Holy Spirit, bringing them the warmth and comfort that only you can provide. Help them to chide themselves out of their cold prayers and into a better and warmer frame of spirit. May their supplications to you be filled with devotion, blessing, and the power of your omnipotence.
We also ask, Lord, that you would increase our friend's faith. Help them to believe that their prayers are heard and that, according to your will, they will be answered. Remind them of your command in Mark 11:24, to believe that they receive what they ask for in prayer, and they shall have it. Strengthen their faith, Lord, so that their prayers may hit the mark.
Father, we pray that you would pour out your healing strength upon our friend. Just as you turned water into wine, we ask that you would turn their coldness into warmth, their weakness into strength. Fill them with your living water, as promised in John 7:37-38, so that out of their heart may flow rivers of your love and grace.
We thank you, Lord, for your faithfulness and for hearing our prayers. We trust in your perfect timing and your perfect plan. In Jesus' name, we pray.
Amen.
