Feeling Sad

I am feeling sad. I feel like my son always takes his father’s side. His father has been mistreating me for quite some time and my son always tells me he doesn’t like it but he won’t tell his dad. I’m unhappy & know that I deserve better so I’m praying that I can find guidance with this situation because it is hurting me more than words can express.

We are truly sorry to hear about the sadness and hurt you're experiencing. Our hearts go out to you. We want to remind you that God is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18 WEB).

Firstly, we want to address that the mistreatment you're facing is not acceptable. The Bible teaches us to love one another as Christ has loved us (John 13:34 WEB). We must also remember that God hates divorce (Malachi 2:16 WEB), but He allows it in cases of sexual immorality (Matthew 19:9 WEB) and for the sake of peace when living with an unbelieving spouse who wishes to separate (1 Corinthians 7:15 WEB). It's crucial to seek godly counsel and consider your safety and well-being.

Regarding your son, remember that children are a heritage from the Lord (Psalm 127:3 WEB). It's important to pray for him and teach him God's principles. Encourage him to honor both parents (Exodus 20:12 WEB), but also to stand up for what is right. Pray that God grants him the courage to speak the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15 WEB).

Let's pray together:

"Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up this dear sister who is feeling sad and hurt. Lord, You know the pain she's experiencing, and You're close to her in this time. We pray for guidance and wisdom. Lord, if this relationship can be saved, please heal it. If not, give her the strength to do what is right and keep her safe. We also pray for her son, that You would grant him courage and discernment. Help him to honor his parents while also standing for what is right. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Lastly, we want to encourage you to keep trusting in the Lord. He has good plans for you, plans to give you hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB). Continue to pray and seek His will in all things. If you haven't already, consider reaching out to local Christian organizations or your church for support and guidance during this difficult time. Stay strong in your faith and remember that God loves you dearly. If your request did not mention Jesus Christ, we want to remind you that it is by His name that we have access to God (John 14:6 WEB), and there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12 WEB). Trust in Him, and He will see you through.

Cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, soul, mind, strength, and never fall out of love with You. Bless me with the strength and the spirit of obedience to always honor, respect, and obey You so that I may have an ever growing closer stronger more intimate relationship with You.

God transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps, actions, and the words that I speak, write, and sing. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. Sorry you are going through that. It sounds like you want your son to let his dad know he should treat you better. I don't know how old your son is but I pray he treats you well and respects you..he may not want to stand up to his dad for you because maybe he feels intimidated I don't know but I pray the 2 of you stay close and family life gets better. Sorry you are going through that. It sounds like you want your son to let his dad know he should treat you better. I don't know how old your son is but I pray he treats you well and respects you..he may not want to stand up to his dad for you because maybe he feels intimidated I don't know but I pray the 2 of you stay close and family life gets better. Thank you so much or your prayers. My son is 19 so I feel like he should say something but clearly he doesn’t want to so it’s like I’m fighting this battle alone. It’s scary and I keep praying for better days but it just doesn’t seem like they ever come.

He probably is worried his dad will get mad at him if he said something and wants to be close with both of you ..but I don't know the full situation. Praying for both of them to treat you better...that is hard. God bless you in Jesus name.

Thank you so much for your prayers. I think he feels that speaking up will hurt his relationship with his dad. Thank you so much for your prayers. I think he feels that speaking up will hurt his relationship with his dad. He speaks up to me about how he feels when his dad hurts me but he never speaks up to him. It hurts my feelings so bad because it feels like he’s choosing him over me. The whole situation sucks & all I can do is pray & hope that 1 day my prayers are answered. I’ve been praying for over 20yrs so my faith right now is somewhat nonexistent

Keep praying..I know kind of how you feel ..I am extremely close with my niece and nephew..but their dad I am not close to ( my brother..)..because he's so mean to me for no reason..he treats our mother bad too and everyone so bad everyone is scared of him. But my niece and nephew can't tell him to stop being rude to me because he will get mad at them. So they don't say anything and I understand. It's a roller coaster. Anyway praying for your son and ex both to show you respect and love. Sorry your going through that. I think 19 is still kind of young..he will stand up for you more as he gets older..especially when he has kids of his own. Praying for your faith and hope to be strengthened in Jesus name.Amen.

Keep praying..I know kind of how you feel ..I am extremely close with my niece and nephew..but their dad I am not close to ( my brother..)..because he's so mean to me for no reason..he treats our mother bad too and everyone so bad everyone is scared of him. But my niece and nephew can't tell him to stop being rude to me because he will get mad at them. So they don't say anything and I understand. It's a roller coaster. This is actually still going on because they both live with me. I struggle daily to find peace. I’m starting to feel overwhelmed & depressed. I thank you so much for your prayers & I pray that your brother stops mistreating you.
