So I am going for a professional exam next month. In the meantime, my case worker said to me apply for this admin role; the deadline was today. I did the test after doing practice and I still failed it. I did this test with my mother as well to ensure there are two brains working on it and I still didn't make it. I was dismissed from my finance role on June 24 and have been looking for a job since then. This month I have been looking for jobs and have been studying intensely for the pro exam. I am just feeling so confused about why I keep on getting rejected and I have kept 2-3 day water fasts to see a breakthrough in my job situation. I am feeling scared as I am 27, a man, and still unemployed; I don't know why my doors are not opening up. I pray Psalm 91 to Jesus every day. Please pray for me, and I am getting this sudden feeling of fear and despair after this setback and I can't even focus on my exam study since my application didn't get through for the job.

Anonymous, we understand your feelings of doubt and confusion during this challenging time. We want to remind you that God's ways are higher than ours, and His thoughts are higher than our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8-9, WEB). Regarding your feelings of fear and despair, we encourage you to cast all your anxieties on Him, because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7, WEB). In times of doubt, remember that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7, WEB). Keep declaring His promises over your life, and do not grow weary in doing good.

However, we want to address that prayers should be directed to God the Father in the name of Jesus Christ, as taught in the Scriptures (John 14:6, 13-14, WEB). While you mentioned that you pray Psalm 91 to Jesus, it's essential to understand that we pray to the Father through the Son. We encourage you to meditate on the words of Jesus in John 16:23-24 (WEB), "In that day you will no longer ask me anything. Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full."
