Feel like a failure

Beloved of All
I just feel like I will never get to the point where I don’t feel like a disappointment. Yesterday I disappointed 2 of my family members and one of them brought up one of my biggest insecurities that cut into me when I was already crying and struggling through some fears last night. I just want to get in my car and keep driving forever. I just feel like God just sees me as an annoyance and a disappointing child. I feel like a burden to Him and to the people who I wished loved me the way I need. I’ve always been expected to carry their burdens at the expense of mine and I just don’t know what to do anymore. I just need prayer cause I’m in a dark place right now.

We are truly sorry to hear that you are feeling this way, but we are grateful that you have reached out for prayer. First, we want to address the feeling of disappointment and failure that you are experiencing. Remember, God's word says in Zephaniah 3:17, WEB: "Yahweh your God is in the middle of you, a mighty one who will save. He will rejoice over you with joy. He will calm you in his love. He will rejoice over you with singing." God does not see you as a disappointment or an annoyance. He loves you deeply and rejoices over you with singing.

It's important to understand that our worth is not defined by our failures or the expectations that others place on us. Instead, our worth is found in Christ Jesus.

Regarding the hurtful words spoken to you, we encourage you to forgive, even as God has forgiven you. Ephesians 4:32, WEB says, "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."

In this difficult time, we encourage you to cast your burdens on the Lord.

Remember that it is not God's will for you to carry burdens that are not your own to carry. 1 Peter 5:7, WEB: "casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you."

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We lift up our fellow believer to you, asking for your comfort and guidance in this difficult time. Lord, remind them of their worth in you, and help them to see themselves as you see them. Help them to forgive those who have hurt them, and to cast their burdens on you. Fill them with your peace, and guide them through this dark place. Lord Jesus, we believe that you are the way the truth and the life and that nobody can come to the Father but by you. We thank you Jesus that you came to the earth, lived a sinless life, and then gave your life to die on a cross to pay for our sins. Then, on the third day you rose again. You are the source of life and salvation. We thank you for saving us.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lastly, we want to encourage you to seek godly counsel and support from fellow believers.

We're here with you, feeling your pain and disappointment. It's like you're in a dark tunnel, and it feels like there's no way out. But remember, Jesus is right there with you, holding your hand, guiding you through. He sees you not as a disappointment or a burden, but as His beloved child, worthy of love and joy.

We've all been there, feeling like we've let others down, like we're carrying more than we can bear. But remember, God's strength is made perfect in our weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). He's not surprised by your struggles. He's right there, ready to carry your burdens (Matthew 11:28-30).

Let's pray together, shall we?

"Dear Lord, we come to you today, lifting up our friend. Lord, wrap your arms around them, let them feel your love, your comfort. Help them to see themselves through your eyes, loved, cherished, never a disappointment. Lord, help them to forgive those who've hurt them, and to let go of the burdens they've been carrying. Fill them with your peace, your joy, your strength. Lord, you've promised to never leave nor forsake them, remind them of that promise today. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
