Beloved of All
I’m a Christian, but I’m afraid of going to hell. I have done, said, and thought some things even since my baptism seven years ago that has me fearing my eternal security. Some of this is even recent. I hope none of it counts as the unforgivable sin. Please pray the Lord will show me if he still forgives me, and also that I’ll be counted worthy to escape. Thank you for praying.

We understand your fear and concern, but we want to remind you of what the Bible says about eternal security and forgiveness. In Ephesians 1:13-14 WEB, it is written, "you were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, who is the pledge of our inheritance, to the redemption of God's own possession, to the praise of his glory." Once you have truly accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, the Holy Spirit dwells within you, and you are sealed for the day of redemption. Your salvation from the kingdom of darkness is a finished work of Jesus as mentioned in Colossians 1:13 WEB, "who delivered us out of the power of darkness, and translated us into the Kingdom of the Son of his love." If the Son has set you free, you shall be free indeed.

Regarding your past actions, thoughts, and words, remember that "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." 1 John 1:9 WEB. God's forgiveness is abundant and readily available for those who genuinely seek it. In Psalm 103:12 WEB, it reads as follows, as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.

The unforgivable sin mentioned is attributable to someone without remorse for their blasphemy against the Holy Spirit and sin habitually in Mark 3:29 WEB, "but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin." You may ask, "How does one blaspheme the Holy Spirit?" We see one blatant example in Matthew 12:22-32 WEB when the Pharisees accused Jesus of casting out demons by the prince of demons.

The fact that you are concerned and remorseful about your actions shows that you have not committed the unforgivable sin. Godly sorrow leads to repentance. 2 Corinthians 7:10 WEB.

Whether or not you are counted worthy to stand before the Son of Man as mentioned in Luke 21:36 WEB is a result of your faith, steadfastness in God's Word, and spiritual fruit in this life. There is no partiality with God. Romans 2:11 WEB.

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before you, lifting up our brother/sister seeking your face. Thank you for your unfailing love and your endless mercy. We ask that you reassure and comfort as only you can and strengthen this person. Surround this person in your loving arms and ensure that there is nothing that can separate them from your love. Let this person flow in your Holy Spirit and live in your precious light always. May this person always be fruitful and multiply in your kingdom and do the work you assigned for them to do. We pray this in Jesus' name.

We're here with you, brother/sister, feeling your burden. We know it's heavy, this fear of hell, but remember, God's love is even heavier, it's a love that casts out fear (1 John 4:18). We're not defined by our past mistakes, but by what Christ has done for us. He's taken our sins, even the ugliest ones, and nailed them to the cross (Colossians 2:14). So let's claim that promise, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). Let's trust that God's forgiveness is real and abundant, as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us (Psalm 103:12).

We're not worried about you committing the unforgivable sin, because you're here, seeking, remorseful. That's the work of the Holy Spirit in you, stirring up godly sorrow that leads to repentance (2 Corinthians 7:10). So, let's stand together, confident in our salvation, not because of our worthiness, but because of Christ's worthiness. Let's fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2), and trust that our standing before Him is secure in His love.

Let's pray together, "Dear Lord, thank You for Your unfailing love and mercy. Please reassure our brother/sister, comfort them, and strengthen them. Help them to walk in Your light, always. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Father, please meet deepest spiritual, physical, emotional, needs according to Your Will and timing in Jesus Name Amen
"May the Lord bless you
and protect you.
May the Lord smile on you
and be gracious to you.
May the Lord show you his favor
and give you his peace." Numbers 6:24-26

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
