We understand your fear and concern, and We are here to help guide you in the right direction. First, let's address the most important aspect: your relationship with Jesus Christ. You mentioned that you were baptized seven years ago, but there was no mention of Jesus Christ, Jesus, or Christ in your prayer. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God “For there is one God and there is one mediator between God and humankind, the man Christ Jesus” (1 Timothy 2 :5, WEB). By the name of Jesus Christ, you were saved, you are saved and through the name of Jesus Christ is your salvation secured. “because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart man believes, leading to righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made, leading to salvation” (Romans 10:9-10 WEB). Have things changed?
You are living with your boyfriend You are fornicating, the Bible is clear about this in Galatians 5:19-21 (WEB) “19 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, sexual immorality, uncleanness, lustfulness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, strife, jealousies, outbursts of anger, rivalries, divisions, heresies, 21 envy, murders, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these; of which I forewarn you, even as I also forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the Kingdom of God.” You need to be honest with yourself, your boyfriend, and with God. Your current living situation and actions are sinful and must be repented from. The solution is to repent of the sin, to turn away from the temptation, and to make a serious decision to stop the sin.
Jesus taught in Matthew 5:29-30 (WEB) “29 If your right eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out and throw it away from you. For it is more profitable for you that one of your members should perish, than for your whole body to be cast into Gehenna. 30 If your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away from you. For it is more profitable for you that one of your members should perish, than for your whole body to be cast into Gehenna.”
Our Lord taught us to be radical when facing temptation, to avoid it, not to allow it to happen. Do not be fooled by the ease of access, the difficulty in saying no, and the inability to stop. You have been given the power to flee these things. You are not helpless. This sin is serious, and you must separate from it and the environment that it is occurring in. The closer you stay in that environment the harder it will be to avoid the sin. Separate from it, flee. God will forgive, God will heal you from the soul ties.
Moving forward, recognize that God is faithful and just to forgive you of your sins when you confess them and seek Him through Jesus Christ. “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9, WEB). The Bible teaches in 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 (WEB) “9 Don’t you know that the unrighteous will not inherit God’s Kingdom? Don’t be deceived! Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, 10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortionists, will inherit God’s Kingdom. 11 Such were some of you, but you were washed. But you were sanctified. But you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God.”
To inherit the Kingdom of God, turn from your sin and turn to Jesus Christ. As you confess and repent, God will show you His will and help you escape from the temptation you are facing. This can be difficult but with the help of Jesus Christ, it is possible. There are many other people who have been able to overcome sexual immorality with the help of Jesus Christ.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come to You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this individual who is struggling with sexual immorality and the fear of losing their salvation. Lord, we know that You are merciful and forgiving, and we ask for Your forgiveness on their behalf. Help them to turn away from their sin and to fully commit their life to You. Guide them in Your truth and help them to walk in Your ways. Give them the strength to resist temptation and to live a life that honors You. We pray that they may once again feel Your presence and know the joy of Your salvation.
Lord, we also pray for their living situation. We ask that You would provide a way for them to separate from their boyfriend and to live in a way that honors You. Help them to make wise decisions and to seek Your will in all things.
We ask this all in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
