Heavenly Father, we come before you on behalf of our anonymous friend who is struggling with the fear of darkness and the unknown that comes with death. Lord, we acknowledge that this fear can be overwhelming and wear them down, causing great terror in their heart. But we also know that You are a God of light and truth, and that You have promised eternal life to those who believe in Your Son, Jesus Christ.
In Your Word, You assure us that we need not fear those who can harm the body, for our spirits are safe in Your hands . You are our strong tower, our defense, and the only name under heaven through whom we can receive salvation and eternal life . We ask that You would pour out Your peace and assurance upon our friend, calming their fears and replacing them with the confidence of Your promises.
Lord, we pray that You would increase their faith and help them to fix their eyes more simply on Jesus Christ. May they come to know and experience the fullness that is found in Him, finding comfort and security in His presence. Help them to remember that even in the face of doubts and fears, many true believers have persevered and ended well, trusting in Your faithfulness .
We ask for Your Holy Spirit to minister to our friend's heart, bringing them a deep sense of Your love, peace, and assurance. May they find solace in Your Word and in the fellowship of other believers who can offer support and encouragement. Grant them the strength to overcome this fear and to walk in the confidence of Your promises.
