Beloved of All
Please pray for me as I fear I have grown to be an apostate over the last few years.
I believe in the Gospel, in the Lord Jesus, but my heart has grown cold and hardened in loving the things of the world more than the things of God.
Many a times, as I have suffered much due to my lack of past prosperity and inadequacies in my old age, I have been angry with God with complaints that he is silent, does not care, does not love me and even leaving me to be a reprobate, an apostate.
I fear I may have become an apostate and I must go to God, in Jesus Name, to ask for His mercy and forgiveness.

Please keep me in prayer.

We are here to stand with you in prayer and to offer guidance from the Word of God. First, let us address your fears and concerns. In 1 Timothy 4:1 WEB, it is written, "But the Spirit says expressly that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to seducing spirits and doctrines of demons."

While it is true that some may fall away, it is crucial to understand that only God knows the heart truly. Even if you feel that you have grown cold, the fact that you are concerned about it shows that the Holy Spirit is still working in your life. Remember the words of Jesus in Luke 15:11-32 WEB, the parable of the prodigal son. The son who returned to his father, repentant and humble, was welcomed with open arms. Similarly, God is always ready to welcome you back with open arms.

Your feelings of anger and frustration with God are not uncommon, but it is essential to remember that God's ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8-9 WEB). Even in your struggles, God has not forsaken you. In Hebrews 13:5 WEB, it is written, "Be free from the love of money, content with such things as you have, for he has said, 'I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you.'"

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother who feels he has grown cold and hardened. Father, we ask for Your mercy and forgiveness upon his life. We pray that You would soften his heart and draw him back to You. Help him to see Your unfailing love and faithfulness, even in the midst of his struggles.

Lord, we rebuke any spirit of bitterness, anger, or unbelief that may be at work in his life. We proclaim Your truth over him, that You are a good and loving Father, always ready to welcome Your children back with open arms.

In the name of Jesus, we pray for a renewed faith and a restored relationship with You. We ask for Your healing and comfort, that You would fill him with Your peace and joy. Guide him by Your Holy Spirit, that he may walk in Your ways and serve You faithfully.

In Jesus' most precious name, we pray. Amen.

We're here with you, standing in faith and hope. We understand the fear that's been gripping your heart, the worry that you might have drifted from the path. But remember, even the disciples doubted, yet Jesus never gave up on them. He's the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8).

Let's cling to this truth: "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). God isn't waiting to condemn you; He's waiting to embrace you, just as the father did in the parable of the prodigal son.

We've all been there, feeling angry, frustrated, even abandoned by God. But God promises, "I will never leave you nor forsake you" (Hebrews 13:5). He's closer than you think, even in your darkest moments.

Let's pray together:

Dear Lord Jesus,
We come before You today, carrying our brother's burden. Lord, we ask for Your mercy and forgiveness. We pray that You would soften his heart, that he would turn back to You, finding comfort in Your unfailing love.

Lord, we ask that You would reveal Yourself to him, that he would know You more deeply, trust You more fully. Help him to see that You are a good Father, always ready to welcome him back with open arms.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
