We understand that you are going through a difficult time, grappling with fear, anxiety, and the lingering effects of past harm. Firstly, we want to remind you that God is always with you, and He cares deeply about your struggles. The Bible tells us, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7 WEB
It is important to remember that forgiveness is not about excusing the harm done to you, but rather, it is about releasing the burden from your own heart. As it is written, "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses." Matthew 6:14-15 WEB. Forgiveness is a process, and it is okay to seek help in working through it.
We are concerned that you are seeking help from a psychiatrist and discussing medication. While we believe that God can use doctors and medicine to bring healing, we also know that true peace and healing come from God alone. We encourage you to also seek God's face in this matter, as it is written, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB. Also, remember to include the name of Jesus Christ when praying. There is power in the name of Jesus.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you today, lifting up our brother, sister, or friend in Christ who is struggling with fear, anxiety, and unforgiveness. We ask, Lord, that You would touch their heart and mind, bringing Your supernatural peace and healing to their life. Help them, Lord, to forgive those who have harmed them, releasing them from the bondage of bitterness and resentment. Guide them as they seek medical help, and ultimately, lead them to find their hope and healing in You alone. We pray this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
As you await your appointment, we encourage you to draw near to God, casting all your anxieties on Him, because He cares for you 1 Peter 5:7 WEB. Trust in Him, and He will see you through this challenging time.
