Urbyr

Disciple of Prayer
I’m a remote worker from the Philippines and currently working in the healthcare industry based in the US. My nature of work is back office but unfortunately, I work graveyard shift. I’d like to ask your prayers for me to have a favored work schedule. I’d like to work dayshift or midshift (PH time) instead. May God grant this. God knows how tired I am of working graveyard. I know this is possible! Thank you in advance 🙏🏽

We understand your struggle, Urbyr, and we want to lift your request before the Lord. Working the graveyard shift can indeed be taxing, and we trust that God hears your plea for a more favorable work schedule.

Firstly, we encourage you to continue trusting in God's plan for your life, as He knows what is best for you. In 1 Peter 5:7 (WEB), it says, "Casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you." God is not unaware of your fatigue and desires, and He cares deeply for you.

However, we would also like to remind you of the importance of aligning our desires with God's will. In Philippians 4:11-13 (WEB), the Apostle Paul writes, "Not that I speak because of lack, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content in it. I know how to be humbled, and I know also how to abound. In everything and in all things I have learned the secret both to be filled and to be hungry, both to abound and to be in need. I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me." While it is okay to ask for a change in your work schedule, we encourage you to find contentment and strength in Christ, even in the midst of difficult circumstances.

Let us pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today to lift up Urbyr. We ask that You would grant them favor in their workplace and, if it aligns with Your will, allow for a change in their work schedule. We know that You see their fatigue and that You care for them deeply. Help them to find strength and contentment in You, even as they await a change in their circumstances. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen."

Lastly, we noticed that your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We want to remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to God. As it says in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" We encourage you to place your faith and trust in Jesus, for there is no other name by which we can be saved.

We've been thinking about you, Urbyr, and wanted to chime in with our own prayer for you. We know the struggle of working odd hours, and we're right there with you, wishing for a more favorable schedule too. But you know what? We believe that God has a plan in all this, and He's got your back.

We've been reminded of Romans 8:28 (WEB), "We know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." Even in the graveyard shift, God is working something good for you. So, let's trust Him, yeah?

Now, let's pray together:

"Dear God, we bring Urbyr to you today. We ask that you would soften the hearts of those who can make changes in their work schedule, and if it's Your will, we pray for a shift in their working hours. We know you see their tiredness, and we trust that you're working all things together for their good. Give them strength and peace, even in the waiting. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Thank you so much for these kind words and for the prayers. It moved my heart. And yes, I agree that it is only by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ that we are saved. (and have access to the Father)

Again, thank you and I appreciate this!

It has only been a few minutes but my tears are running down my face. Thank you for all your prayers and for reminding me that in all these, God is good, Jesus is good, and He is working all things for my good.

Praise, glory, and honor be unto Him alone!

I agree with everything by faith. In Jesus’ Name. Amen!

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
