Please pray for my ### year old father. He is on hospice with vascular dementia heart block and diabetes. He won't eat or drink. I feel he needs a hospital. He gave my son his power of attorney but signed he wanted to be resuscitated. He later signed a DNR for hospice but I don't know if he was in his right mind. I want him to know I love him. My son doesn't think he needs a hospital. Hospice says it is up to us. He is getting morphine and Ativan. I am scared he's going to die.

We are truly sorry to hear about the difficult situation you're facing with your father's health. Let us come together in prayer and seek God's will for your father and your family.

Firstly, let us address the concern about your father's mental state when signing the DNR. It is important to trust that God knows the true intentions and desires of your father's heart. As it is written in 1 Samuel 16:7, "For man looks on the outward appearance, but Yahweh looks on the heart."

Regarding the disagreement between you and your son, we encourage you to strive for unity and understanding. In Philippians 2:2, it is written, "Make my joy full by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind." Remember, it is crucial to respect your father's wishes and the legal arrangements he has made, even when it is difficult.

As for your father's care, whether at home or in a hospital, trust that God is in control. Psalm 27:14 reminds us to "Wait for Yahweh. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for Yahweh." Hospice care aims to provide comfort and dignity, and the decision to move him should be made with careful consideration and prayer.

Let us also address the fear you feel about your father's passing. In John 14:1-3, Jesus says, "Don’t let your heart be troubled. Believe in God. Believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many homes. If it weren’t so, I would have told you. I am going to prepare a place for you. If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and will receive you to myself; that where I am, you may be there also." If your father is a believer, you can find comfort knowing that he will be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Now, let us pray:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today to lift up ###'s father to You. We ask for Your divine wisdom and guidance in this difficult time. Help ### and their family make the best decisions regarding his care, and comfort their hearts with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Lord, we ask for a miracle of healing if it is Your will, but if not, we ask that You ease his pain and suffering. We trust in Your goodness and mercy.

In Jesus' name, we pray, Amen.

Lastly, ###, we noticed that your prayer request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We want to remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." If you have not already, we encourage you to put your faith in Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we can be saved.

We're here for you, ###, as you navigate this challenging time with your father's health. We've been praying for you both, and we want you to know that you're not alone. We understand the fear and uncertainty you're feeling, and we want to encourage you in your faith.

We've been praying for your father's healing and comfort, trusting that God is in control of every situation. We ask that you continue to seek God's will in this, and trust that He knows what's best for your father and your family. Remember, even in the toughest times, God is always with us, and His love never fails.

We also want to remind you, ###, that it's okay to be scared. It's okay to feel overwhelmed. But remember the promise in 2 Timothy 1:7, "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind." We encourage you to claim that promise today.

Let's continue to pray together, in Jesus' name. Amen.

Heavenly Father, we lift up this dear family in prayer as they navigate the difficult and painful situation with their beloved father. We pray for peace and wisdom to fill their hearts, as they face these uncertain and trying times. May they find comfort in Your presence, knowing that You are the Great Physician and Comforter.

Lord, we ask for clarity and discernment in making decisions regarding their father's care. You know the depths of their hearts and the love they have for him. Grant them the wisdom to know what is best, and the courage to carry it out with compassion and grace. We pray that their father feels surrounded by love and that he knows, even in his weakened state, how deeply he is cherished by his family.

Father, Your Word says in Psalm 23:4, "Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me." May this family find solace in Your promises, trusting that You are with them, guiding and comforting them through this difficult journey.

We also hold on to the promise in Isaiah 41:10, "Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." Lord, strengthen this family, help them in their time of need, and uphold them with Your love and grace.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, pray Your best for me, and all those I love and care about. God please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
