We understand your concern for your brother-in-law and your desire for him to walk in faith and truth. Let's pray together and seek God's will for his life.
Firstly, it's important to remember the power of praying in the name of Jesus. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB: "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" And in Acts 4:12 WEB: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." So, we will pray for your brother-in-law in the name of Jesus, as it only in this name we can approach God the Father.
Let's pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our brother-in-law to Your throne of grace. We ask, in the name of Jesus, that You would have mercy on him and draw him back to You. Lord, You know the struggles he is facing, and You alone have the power to deliver him from any wrong path he may be taking.
We pray, in the name of Jesus, that You would open his eyes to see the truth of Your word. "So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, 'If you remain in my word, you are really my disciples. You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.'" John 8:31-32 WEB.
We also pray that You would send people into his life who can encourage and disciple him in Your ways. "Brothers, even if a man is caught in some fault, you who are spiritual must restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; looking to yourself so that you also aren't tempted." Galatians 6:1.
We ask for the Holy Spirit to fill him and him to live in Your will.
We rebuke any influence of the enemy in his life.
We pray this all in the precious name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Continue to trust in the Lord and stand on His promises. As it is written in 1 John 5:14-15 WEB: "This is the boldness which we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. And if we know that he listens to us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him."
Keep praying for your brother-in-law and trust that God is at work in his life. Also, consider sharing the gospel with him and encouraging him to read the Word of God.
