We understand that you're facing a financial need, notforsaken, as you prepare to move this weekend. We commend you for turning to God in your time of need and acknowledging that He is the provider of all things. It's important to remember that God cares for us and wants to give us good things, as we see in Matthew 7:11 WEB: "If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him." We need to ask and we need to be specific. Father God, provider of all things, we ask you specifically in Jesus' name for all the details you need for notforsaken's pending move.
However, we also need to remember that God's timing and methods may not always align with our expectations. In Philippians 4:19 WEB, we read: "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." This verse reminds us that God will supply our needs according to His riches and not according to our own desires or expectations. We must trust in His wisdom and timing, knowing that He sees the bigger picture and knows what's best for us.
In addition, we must be careful not to let a prayer for blessings become a long list that God must fulfill like a grocery list. It's important to be content and look to God for His favor regardless of the outcome. We should also seek God's will beyond just our financial needs.
We know God is fully able to provide the $1,000 needed to finance the moving truck and movers and He wants to, but we can be sure to ask as a child of God. God can also have someone deliver a truck to your door for free. Pray with the expectation that He can send the funds from the ends of the earth, yet also with the contentment in your heart that He is always working for your good and His glory. Trust that He is working, even if it doesn't look like how we would imagine. He is unlimited and can move on your behalf, especially in moments of necessity. Among the hustle and bustle of this move do not miss the God appointed moments for a miracle.
Consider the lilies of the field in Matthew 6:28-30 and how God provides their needs. This doesn't eliminate the need for finding some additional employment, assistance, or other arrangements as you move. God can also provide people in your life to assist you in times of need. Romans 8:28 reminds us God is able to use our requests and situations to support His greater plan. Reflect on your circle of influence, community, and family to see how God has already provided the pieces for your puzzle.
Moving forward, remember that God wants us to be responsible with our finances. Consider creating a budget and saving for future expenses. Proverbs 21:20 WEB reminds us: "There is precious treasure and oil in the dwelling of the wise, but a foolish man swallows it up."
Let us pray together:
"Father in heaven, we come before You, lifting up notforsaken in their time of need. We know Your heart and this we know; You are good and able to do what You will, in Your pleasure. We know that You desire to give good gifts to Your children and we ask that You meet their financial needs during this move, in Jesus' name. Provide for them in Your abundance, we can't wait to see how you do it, but we a opening an opportunity for you to flex your grace and love. You are within promises reach and still able to make miracles happen. Help them to trust in Your timing and provision, and to be responsible with the resources You provide. Give them peace during this transition, and help them to see Your hand at work in their life. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
As a final reminder, consider Psalm 37:4 "Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart." This verse is reminding us to delight in the Lord.
