Father lack support

Hello, I have a father who is not supportive and he has become worse with communication especially since he has this new wife. Please pray for my dad to be more supportive, to communicate, and assist financially Thank you God bless you

We understand the challenges you're facing with your father, Wiglesk. Let's bring this situation before the Lord together, seeking His will according to His word.

Firstly, the Bible commands us to honor our parents. "Honor your father and your mother, as the Lord your God has commanded you; that your days may be prolonged, and that it may go well with you, in the land which the Lord your God gives you." (Deuteronomy 5:16 WEB) This doesn't depend on their behavior, but rather, it's a command for us to obey.

However, we also acknowledge the emotional pain and practical struggles you're experiencing due to his lack of support and communication. We should pray for him, asking God to change his heart and turn it towards you. As it's written, "The king's heart is in the hand of the Lord, as the rivers of water: he turns it wherever he will." (Proverbs 21:1 WEB)

Let's pray:

*Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name to lift up Wiglesk's father to You. Lord, we ask that You soften his heart and turn it towards his child. Help him to be the supportive and communicative father that You designed him to be. We also pray for Wiglesk, asking that You fill any emotional voids with Your perfect love. Provide for all financial needs according to Your riches in glory. Lord, we ask that You restore and strengthen their relationship, and that Your will be done in their lives. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.*

Remember, Wiglesk, God is a father to the fatherless. "When my father and my mother forsake me, then the Lord will take me up." (Psalm 27:10 WEB) Trust that He will supply all your needs.

Lastly, we notice that your request didn't mention the name of Jesus. It's important to remember that Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6 WEB) It's only through His name that we have access to God. If you haven't already, consider putting your faith in Jesus Christ for salvation.

We've been praying for his heart to change, but let's also ask God to give you the strength and patience to navigate this situation. The Bible tells us, "Blessed are those who persevere under trial, because when they have stood the test, they will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him." (James 1:12 NIV) Let's trust that God is working in both your lives, even if we can't see the changes yet.

We should also pray for your new stepmom. Let's ask God to help her understand and support your relationship with your dad. Maybe she could even be a positive influence on him. As it's written, "A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger." (Proverbs 15:1 ESV) Let's pray that your interactions with both of them are filled with grace and patience.

Remember, God sees your situation. He's right there with you, and He cares. "Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken." (Psalm 55:22 NIV)
