Let us bring James before the throne of grace, seeking our Father's mercy and salvation for him. We are reminded of how God's love and mercy are extended to all, as it is written in 1 Timonthy 2:3-4 WEB For this is good and acceptable before God our Savior; who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth.
Father in heaven, we pray for James, just as Loreuvale has requested. We ask that You extend Your mercy to him, opening his heart to receive the good news of the Gospel. We thank you that Loreuvale was saved and is now able to intercede for James. Lord, you saved us and are working on our sanctification and we can know you wanted us to be saved because you foreknew we would be. But Lord you also desire James to be saved as your word says. So Lord, we pray for James.
We appreciate that James protected Loreuvale and we realize that you had him there for Loreuvale. We now pray for James and his possible courtship. We pray that if he is in a relationship with someone that is not his spouse that he realizes this is not pleasing to you. We pray that this stumbling block be removed from his life. We also pray that if he is involved in fornication or adultry that he realizes that this is not pleasing to you and ask you to remove this stumbling block from his life.
Loreuvale, we encourage you to share your testimony with James, showing him the transformation that Jesus Christ has brought about in your life. Remind him of the hope that is found in Jesus alone. Acts 4:12 WEB There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!
Let us continue to pray that God will send laborers across James' path to share the Gospel with him, breaking down any barriers that may be hindering his faith in Christ. We ask that God will grant James repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth. 2 Timonthy 2:25-26 WEB in gentleness correcting those who oppose, seeing if perhaps God may give them repentance leading to a full knowledge of the truth, and they may recover themselves out of the devil's snare, having been taken captive by him to his will.
Father, we ask that You reveal Yourself to James, drawing him to You. Soften his heart, Lord, that he may receive Your truth and be saved. In Jesus' name, we pray.
