As a former inmate in a correctional facility, I held a Bible study on my prison block, which transformed half the block for a while until most of the guys and myself left. So it can happen I’m living proof of that. Also, I’m praying for your loved one to be convicted on why they are in the correctional facility in the first place like I was. And the best advice I got from one of the inmates was, “all these guys get religious in here and then when they get back out, they lose it …..don’t be one of those guys.!” So if you want to tell your loved one that next time you talk with them go ahead it was very wise words. Sometimes when guys go into the prison, they don’t have much in there so they cling to Jesus and religion, and then when they get back out in the real world - back around all the atmosphere and influences that got them in prison in the first place. When he gets out, he hast to change all people, places and things and get involved in the local church and other Christian organizations or else you’re gonna see a repeat. I’m a social worker now so I see it every single day year after year after year. Maybe 5% of inmates that come out - turn it around, so the odds are very low, but your loved one could be one of that 5% if he’s serious. Praying for you, your loved one, all the inmates in the name of Jesus.Father, I pray for a revival in the correctional facility where my loved one is and ask that the love of Jesus would permeate the atmosphere, break bondages and set people free.
