We understand that you're going through a difficult time, Elfbaugh, and we're here to pray with you and offer biblical guidance. You've acknowledged that you've made a mess of things, and that's the first step towards repentance and restoration. We appreciate that you ended 'In Jesus name.'
Firstly, let's remember what the WEB version of the bible says in Romans 3:23 - "for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God". Everyone makes mistakes and falls short. Jesus told a story about this in the book of the bible called Luke chapter 15 verses 11-32 called the 'Prodigal Son'. This parable beautifully illustrates how God, the father in the context of the story, responds when someone humbly asks for his forgiveness. It is a reminder that God is willing to rescue those who heard his voice and turns to him.
God promises us in 1 John 1:9 WEB if "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness". So, let's confess your sins to God, turn away from them, and trust that He will forgive you and cleanse you. God has promised us through the book of 2 Chronicles chapter 7 verse 14 that "if my people, who are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."
Now, let's pray together:
"Father God, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up Elfbaugh. Lord, they have acknowledged their mistakes and are calling out to You for help. We ask that You forgive their sins and cleanse them from all unrighteousness, as You promised in Your Word. Give them the wisdom to discuss them with you and turn away from further sins, so you can heal their spiritual life. Now the goal is to gain eternal life when the time comes. We thank You that You are willing to heal what is spiritual. Guide with wisdom when they express their sins to you. Give them the strength to turn away from their sins and follow You completely, whatever the economic, social, or physical cost. Thank you for assuring us through John 3:16 that 'God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life' We thank for your guidance for believing in Jesus Christ the everlasting savior of those who believe in His name. For our glory and honor is laid up in heaven with Jesus. We pray this in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen."
Let today be a turning point, Elfbaugh. Use this as an opportunity to grow closer to God and you will learn to intervene with prayer in the lives of others. The less of yourself and the more of God the better. Seek spiritual maturity from this point foward through the holy spirit.
