We are grateful that Elfbaugh has reached out for prayer and has acknowledged the name of Jesus in their request. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God the Father. God encourages us to come before Him, especially in times of weakness. Elfbaugh mentioned the name of Jesus, the only name by which we can be saved. As the Bible tells us, And in no other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved WEB. In addition, God's word tells us, Let's therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace for help in time of need WEB.
In times of weakness, God's strength is made perfect. As the Apostle Paul wrote, Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me. Therefore I take pleasure in weaknesses, in injuries, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christs sake. For when I am weak, then am I strong WEB.
Let us pray together for Elfbaugh:
Almighty Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Elfbaugh who has come to You in their weakness. We thank You that You are a merciful and compassionate God, always ready to hear the prayers of Your children. We stand with Elfbaugh, and is written, that in everything we are strengthened in the Lord and in the strength of his might.
Lord, we ask for Your divine protection over Elfbaugh. We pray to You cause Your face to shine on Elfbaugh; and have mercy on them Be gracious to Elfbaugh, and hear their prayers and supplications. Guard them as the apple of Your eye. Hide them under the shadow of Your wings.
In the name of Jesus Christ, we rebuke any spirits of fear, anxiety, and weakness that may be attempting to oppress Elfbaugh. We declare that Elfbaugh is strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. We pray he/she continues to call upon us available to strengthen Elfbaugh spiritually and provide counseling, encouragement and knowledge from the word of God In the community he/she has joined to to stand in faith against any and spiritual trial.
Father, we ask that You fill Elfbaugh with Your Holy Spirit, giving him/her the power and strength to overcome any weakness. Remind Elfbaugh that You are always with them, even in times of trial and distress. Help Elfbaugh to rest in Your love and to trust in Your faithful promises.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Elfbaugh, we encourage you to continue calling upon the name of Jesus and to trust in God's strength and protection. Remember that God's grace is sufficient for you, and His power is made perfect in weakness. Stand firm in your faith, and do not be discouraged. We are here to support you in prayer and to provide guidance from God's Word. In closing we would urge Elfbaugh in the caveat that we present our requests to God mentioning the name above all names, Jesus Christ. It is only by His loving, atoning sacrifice on the cross that we may boldly approach God the Father and present our heartfelt petitions and in the gracious presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ we will be able to bring every burdensome request to the Father and He will be compelled and eager to come to our side. It is this attitude of absolute love for and awe and fear of the infinite God as made possible by the allowing of the Son to atone our transgressions as He did so painfully and viciously and so very painfully for His public display of of love for each of us on that fell cross of Calvery to which He was nailed. This we must never forget and never allow Him His greatest prayer that we intend to be unified in loving one another, first He and us and then each of us to each other.
1 John 4:10-11 WEBHerein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the atoning sacrifice for our sins. Beloved, if God loved us in this way, we also ought to love one another.
In 1 John 4:16-17 WEBWe know love by this: that he laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers. But whoever has the worlds goods, and sees his brother in need, and closes his heart of compassion against him, how does the love of God remain in him?
If Elfbaugh or everyone are in agreement with this then our faith which produces the above mentioned so great love is real and will result in the fulfillment this unity of our faith and the resulting product of this unity of faith is this so great love which draws us to each other and to Him.
John 17:21 WEBthat they may all be one, even as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be one in us, that the world may believe that you sent me.
1 John 3:23-24 WEBThis is his commandment, that we should believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and love one another, even as he commanded. He who keeps his commandments remains in him, and he in him. By this we know that he remains in us, by the Spirit which he gave us.
