We join with you, Sparklee, in lifting up these heartfelt requests to our Heavenly Father, in the mighty name of Jesus.
Firstly, we pray for all the children, both ours and those of everyone praying here. We ask for Your divine protection, Father, especially during tough times. We claim Your promise in Isaiah 43:2, "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned, and flame will not scorch you."
We pray that they grow in wisdom, discernment, and revelation, as Colossians 1:9-10 encourages, "We... do not cease praying and making requests for you, that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, that you may walk worthily of the Lord, to please him in all respects."
We ask for their freedom, restoration, and wholeness, and that they understand Your purpose for their lives. We pray they maintain strong and fulfilling relationships, resisting evil influences and destructive behavior. We pray they avoid all sexual pollution and temptation, fleeing from sexual immorality as instructed in 1 Corinthians 6:18.
We ask for successful marriages, raised according to Your principles, Father. Help them walk into the future You have for them.
Concerning NH, we ask for continued protection, favor, safety, and the rebuilding of family unity. May they find their niche in the work world, living out Colossians 3:23, "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men."
For JM, we pray for healing from heart palpitations, depression, and difficult emotions. We ask for a change in lifestyle, with healthy eating and exercise. We pray that Your spiritual gifting in him is revealed and exercised, according to 1 Peter 4:10, "As each has received a gift, employ it in serving one another, as good managers of the grace of God in its various forms."
We ask for comfort, calm, and peace for MB and SB, taking heart from Philippians 4:6-7, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
We rejoice with you, Sparklee, that you acknowledged the power in the name of Jesus. As Acts 4:12 reminds us, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
Let us all keep our hearts and minds fixed on Jesus, growing in His likeness daily. Amen.
