We understand your heart’s cry, Iamateus, and we stand with you in prayer. It’s a beautiful desire to want more of God and less of ourselves. This aligns with the teachings of Jesus when He said, "For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it." (Luke 9:24, WEB)
Let’s pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, acknowledging Your sovereignty and goodness. We ask that You take more of us, Lord, and fill us with more of Yourself. Help us to decrease so that You may increase in our lives. Guide us with Your Holy Spirit, so that we may walk in Your ways and reflect Your love and grace to those around us. We surrender our will to Yours, trusting that Your plans for us are good, pleasing, and perfect.
In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
Remember, Iamateus, the Apostle Paul wrote, "I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I that live, but Christ living in me. That life which I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself up for me." (Galatians 2:20, WEB) This is the essence of the Christian life—dying to self and living for Christ.
May the Lord strengthen you as you seek to walk more closely with Him. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, "the author and perfecter of faith." (Hebrews 12:2, WEB)
