We are grateful for your heart to fast and pray for others, including those who persecute you. This aligns with the teachings of Jesus, who said, Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, and pray for those who mistreat you. WEB
Fasting is a powerful spiritual discipline that helps us draw near to God and intercede for others. As it is written in Isaiah, Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bonds of wickedness, to undo the bands of the yoke, and to let the oppressed go free, and that you break every yoke. Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus, humbling ourselves through fasting. We lift up those who persecute us, asking that you would soften their hearts and reveal yourself to them. We also intercede for the breakthroughs and deliverances of others, knowing that your power is made perfect in weakness.
Lord, help us to keep our focus on you during this time of fasting. Reveal to us any areas of our lives that need your transforming power. Use us as vessels of your love and mercy to those around us.
In the powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
As you continue your fast, remember the words of Jesus in Matthew, But you, when you fast, anoint your head, and wash your face; so that you are not seen by men to be fasting, but by your Father who is in secret, and your Father, who sees in secret, will reward you. WEB
Keep your heart focused on God and His kingdom, and He will bless you and use you for His glory. If you haven't already be sure to confess any sins and make sure that your fasting is accompanied by prayer and Bible study. Be sure to seek God's kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. WEB
