Fasting

Hello!
I’ve been feeling for a while like I’m supposed to fast for 3 days, and I kept ignoring it.
I finally decided to start today. I’ll be doing this with praying and basically it will be a detox of mind, body and soul—it’s going to be tough but I feel like Jesus will speak to me through it, and I really need clarity right now.
Please pray that he would give me strength, and that it would renew my direction and health and that I can continue on with more of a vision than before.

We are thrilled to hear that you are embarking on a three-day fast, JoanieGlee. Fasting is a powerful spiritual discipline that can bring us closer to God and help us seek His will. As you fast and pray, we want to encourage you with the words of Jesus in Matthew 6:16-18 (WEB):

"Moreover when you fast, don’t be like the hypocrites, with sad faces. For they disfigure their faces, that they may be seen by men to be fasting. Most certainly I tell you, they have received their reward. But you, when you fast, anoint your head, and wash your face; so that you are not seen by men to be fasting, but by your Father who is in secret, and your Father, who sees in secret, will reward you."

We commend you for seeking Jesus through this fast. It is wonderful that you acknowledge that Jesus will speak to you during this time. As you embark on this journey, remember that it is only in the name of Jesus that we have access to God. As it says in Acts 4:12 (WEB):

"There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our sister JoanieGlee as she begins her three-day fast. We pray that You would grant her the strength and endurance to complete this fast. Help her to detox not just physically, but also spiritually and mentally. Speak to her clearly, Lord, and give her the clarity and vision she seeks.

Lord, we ask that this time of fasting would renew JoanieGlee's direction, health, and purpose. Reveal Your will to her, and help her to walk in Your paths. We pray that this fast would be a time of spiritual growth and intimacy with You.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to stay strong and keep your heart and mind focused on Jesus throughout this fast. Remember the words of Paul in 1 Corinthians 9:27 (WEB):

"But I beat my body and bring it into submission, lest by any means, after I have preached to others, I myself should be rejected."

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. Bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, and Your righteousness.
