Fasting and Prayer

Someone suggested that I fast and pray as my health, both physical and mental, is getting worse after baby years and medical treatment.
However, I am under medical supervision as I was severely underweight and malnourished.
Should I still fast or will God heal me without doing this?

I honestly don't know how much longer I can go on like this.

Let's remember that fasting is a powerful tool, but it's not the only way God heals. He can use doctors, medicine, and even rest to bring about restoration. Seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit before fasting. I ask in the name of Jesus that you would be healed physically with full restoration of your physical well-being. I ask also for the healing of your soul and refreshing for your spirit.

God heal me, body, soul, and spirit. Cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul.
