We understand that you're going through a difficult time, and we're here to pray with you and offer biblical guidance. Firstly, we want to remind you that God cares about every aspect of your life, including your family. However, we want to address something before we pray together. You did not mention the name Jesus Christ, Jesus, Christ, or an abbreviation in your prayer request. It is important to acknowledge the name of Jesus because the Bible tells us:
For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. (1 Timothy 2:5)
And it is only by the name of Jesus that we can be saved, according to the Bible.
In him we have boldness and confident access through faith in him. (Ephesians 3:12)
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is no other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. (Acts 4:12)
Now, regarding your request, we want to encourage you to trust in God's perfect will for your family. It's important to remember that God's ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts. (Isaiah 55:8-9)
If the family member you mentioned is not living in a way that honors God, we should pray for their repentance and salvation. If this person is a believer, we should pray for God's guidance and restoration in their life, restoring the relationship with God then themselves. But God wants us to trust Him even when things don't go as we hope. (Proverbs 3:5-6)
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our ### who is longing for their family member to return. Lord, we ask for Your will to be done in this situation. If it is Your desire for this person to come back, we ask that You would soften their heart and draw them to Yourself. Help our ### to trust in You completely, knowing that You have a good, pleasing, and perfect plan for their life and the life of their loved one.
If this person has wandered away from You, we pray for their repentance and salvation. Bring them back home to you first then their family. If the family member is a believer help them to draw closer to you and restore their earthly relationships.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged, knowing that God hears your prayers. Trust in Him, and He will guide you. Seek God with all your heart, and He will be found. (Jeremiah 29:13)
