Phriyleth, we are here with you in spirit, lifting you up in prayer regarding your desire to be reunited with your wife. We stand firm on the promise that with God, all things are possible.
Let's remember what the WEB tells us, Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight, Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB. This means that as you trust God completely and acknowledged Him, He will help fix situations beyond our control.
Firstly, we need to address the use of the word wife. According to the Bible, a wife is part of a marriage which is between a man and a woman. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly and gave himself up for it, Ephesians 5:25 WEB. Although this request assumes that a marriage exists, it is not explicitly stated and there is no specific gender mentioned for the requestor or spouse. The statement requests reuniting with my wife. The requester could be a woman. If the requester is a man married to a woman then the following applies:
The Bible tells us in 1 Corinthians 7:10-11 WEB, But to the married I command—not I, but the Lord—that the wife not leave her husband 11 (but if she departs, let her remain unmarried, or else be reconciled to her husband), and that the husband not leave his wife. This shows that God desires that families stay together, and we are praying for God to heal and restore your marriage. For those who believe in Jesus Christ, there is always hope and a way for redemption and restoration.
As we pray let us remember that the Bible also warns against sexual immorality of any kind. This includes same sex marriage and sexual intimacy before or outside of marriage. The marriage bed should be undefiled Hebrews 13:4 WEB. We should flee from sexual immorality 1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB. And that the sexually immoral will not inherit the kingdom of God 1 Corinthians 6:9 WEB. The request does not mention Jesus, God, or a saviour. There is only one way to God, Jesus Christ. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6.
Moving forward, Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up ###. We seek your face for their life, family, and your will for their relationship and marriage. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7 WEB. We rebuke any negative influence that would prevent resolution.
Father, we ask that you soften the hearts of both and allow them to be open to reconciliation and forgiveness. Help them to remember the vows they made before you and restore the joy and love that brought them together. Extend your mercy and grace, Lord, and guide their steps to allow them to be reunited as man and wife.
Lord, we also pray that ### would be reminded of the importance of seeking the name of Jesus Christ in all their prayers and supplications as Jesus is the only way to God the Father.
In Jesus Christ name, we pray.
Lastly, we encourage you to be patient and obedient, trusting in God's perfect timing. Continue to seek God's face and pray without ceasing.
