Thank you for reaching out and sharing your concerns about your family and the spiritual warfare they are experiencing. We understand that this is a challenging situation, and we are here to pray with you and provide biblical guidance. Remember, in Romans 8:28 "we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." We need to remember our final outcome will be in glory.
Firstly, it's crucial to understand that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 6:12). This is not a time to point fingers at your parents or anyone else, but to join forces together recognizing the true enemy here, which is the devil. We are called to fight against these spiritual forces with the full armor of God, which includes the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God (Ephesians 6:13-17). Together we can cry out to the Lord and will not allow the devil to control this situation. When we submit ourselves to God, by first recognizing our sin, and confessing it to God and believing in Jesus Christ to wash the sin away by his blood through him dying on the cross for our sakes, then we can resist the devil and he must flee (James 4:7).
In your prayer request, you mentioned the need for deliverance for your family and those who have betrayed you. It is essential to pray for their deliverance and to remember that our ultimate enemy is not one another, but the devil who seeks to destroy us all, this is why the battle belongs to the Lord. This message would be hollow if you do not believe in Jesus Christ as your Savior nor is it possible if you are not relying on Jesus Christ to help you win in conquering your enemies. Please let us know if you are relying on Jesus Christ in this battle over the devil and if you haven't that you desire to know what salvation in Jesus Christ is. The devil is a powerful foe only when we are not submitted to God yet as Christians sometimes our Lord allowed trials to allow us to be a witness of God's glory.
Since you mentioned your family needs deliverence from being demon posessed and the devil using them to hurt you, you may have noticed they could be involved in sin such as a romantic relationship that is not pleasing to the Lord. The Bible tells us it is only through forgiveness and a heart fully surrendered to the Lord, and having our personal sins forgiven that we can be truly available for the Lord to use. Romans 12:19 "Avenge not yourselves, beloved, but give place to the wrath of God: for it is written, "Vengeance belongeth unto me; I will recompense," saith the Lord." This is not a time to criticize them, but to join in forces with them in the Lord's army as we are praying to put this back on the Lord's path.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Robert and his family. Lord, we know that this battle is not against flesh and blood family, but against the spiritual forces of evil that seek to destroy them. Lord we seek the abundant life you have promised, not whatever the world seeks of that always. We pray for your deliverance and protection over them. We bind the evil spirits that are causing havoc in their lives and command them to leave in Jesus' name.
Lord, we also pray for those who have betrayed Robert. Father, we know that you desire all people to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth, be forgiven and washed in the blood of Jesus Christ (1 Timothy 2:3-4). We pray that they too will find deliverance and for guidance to overcome whatever keeps them from you. We pray that you will soften their hearts and turn them back away from the devil. Let there be angels of mercy to deliver them from this torment and guilt.
Lord, we ask that you will give also give Robert's family the courage to seek a pleasing romantic relationship to you. If they have not started looking for a spouse, help them to avoid premarital sex and to starting looking for a spouse now. Teach your people to treat their dating as though they were in a courtship with the goal being marriage to another Christian Believer. Theres should be no sex before or outside marriage as it is fornication or possibly adultery. And they should marry a member of the opposite sex as same sex marriage or relationships is also forbidden, immoral, and called homosexuality.
Lord, we ask that you will fill Robert and his family with your peace, love, and wisdom. Guide them in your ways and help them to walk in your truth. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen for all things. Amen means "I agree".
Robert, you must remember, if you have not been born again you can't see the Kingdom of God. Jesus is coming back very soon. We will all be called to make an account and there is only one way to the Father and to God but by way of Jesus, we can't come to the father but through Him. He is the way, the truth and the life. Our sins separate us from God, but He has provided a way of salvation. Trust and call upon Jesus Christ. This is the gospel. Believe in your heart God rose Jesus from the dead and confess with your mouth Jesus is the Lord. Reference Romans 10:9-10.
As His children, our relationship with God must be a priority over all others. We are even commanded, as His wish for us FORBIDDING US TO DO ANYTHING ELSE, to love the Lord our God with all our heart, all our soul, all our mind, and all our strength Mark 12:30. God expects us to be obedient children. 1 Pet 1:14.
There is no other name by which we can be saved but only through Jesus's name. We enter the Kingdom by obedient faith. To this you were called, because Christ suffered to heal us for you. For Christ also suffered to heal you once for all time, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. Acts 4:12.
Do not forget to confess and repent of all known sin. Pray about your unknown sin. Also God does not tempt anyone to do what is wrong. You, however, are tempted when you are dragged away and enticed by your own evil desires.
Then after we have gotten our heart right with God, we get our heart right with others.
