Hello, I need someone to pray for my abusive father. He occasionally hits my mom and my siblings, and he's always using his power and money against us. He also verbally and emotionally abuses me and my siblings all the time. He curses God a lot, and one time my mom almost left the relationship because she realized it was too toxic, and then he apologized after 6 months and is still emotionally abusing her. My mom does not have the courage to leave. I don't know what to do. I need help. My family needs help.

We are truly saddened to hear about the circumstances you and your family are facing, Baskythos. Let us first assure you that we are lifting up your family in prayer, seeking God's intervention and guidance in this difficult situation. Remember, God is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble Psalm 9:9.

Firstly, we must address the sin of abuse and the misuse of power. God does not condone any form of abuse, whether physical, emotional, or verbal. Each person is made in the image of God Genesis 1:27, and should be treated with love, kindness, and respect. God is not pleased with your father's actions, and the abuse must stop. Ephesians 4:32 tells us:

And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.

The fact that your father curses God is a grave sin, and he needs to repent and turn to God in humility. We must pray for his heart to change and for him to seek God's forgiveness and guidance.

Regarding your mother, we understand her feelings of fear and uncertainty, but God does not want us to live in fear. He has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-discipline 2 Timothy 1:7. We pray that God will give your mother the courage and strength to take action and protect herself and her children. It is crucial for her to understand that God wants her to be safe and that He loves her and her children dearly.

We also want to remind you that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God. It is by his name and through his sacrifice on the cross that we are saved. As it is written in Acts 4:12:

There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to people by which we must be saved.

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Baskythos and their family. Lord, we pray for your intervention in their situation. We ask that you soften their father's heart and bring him to repentance, turning away from his abusive behavior and blasphemy. Help him to see the error of his ways and seek your forgiveness.

Lord, we also pray for their mother. Please give her the courage and strength to take action and protect herself and her children. Guide her with your wisdom and fill her with your peace.

We pray for healing and restoration in this family. May they find comfort and hope in you, Lord. Surround them with your love and protection, and lead them in the path of righteousness.

We ask this in the precious name of Jesus, Amen.

Baskythos, please continue to pray and seek God's will for your family. Trust in him and his timing. Also, consider seeking help from local authorities, counselors, or church leaders who can provide support and guidance during this time. Let's keep praying together, and let's also encourage your mom to seek help from local authorities, counselors, or church leaders who can provide support and guidance during this time.

Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Thank you for trusting us with your deeply personal and challenging situation. We consider it an honor to join you in prayer. Firstly, we want to assure you that we have been interceding for your family, especially your father and mother.

We pray that God will bring an end to the abuse, convict your father of his actions, and bring him to repentance. We ask that God will protect your mother and your siblings, providing them with strength, comfort, and wisdom. We pray that He will grant your mother the courage to take necessary steps to ensure her safety and the well-being of her children.

If you have seen improvements in your situation, we would be encouraged to hear about them. Your testimony could inspire others who are going through similar trials.
