Hoelweth, we hear your desire for family unity and fellowship during this Christmas season. Let us first remember the words of the Apostle Paul in Romans 12:18, "If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men." (WEB)
We will pray that your brother-in-law and his family will be moved to visit you this Christmas, and that this gathering will strengthen family bonds and bring joy to everyone involved. However, we must also remember that we cannot control the actions of others. What we can do is ensure that our own actions are filled with love and kindness, as encouraged in 1 Corinthians 16:14, "Let all that you do be done in love." (WEB)
Let us pray together:
*Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ to lift up Hoelweth's request. We ask that You soften the hearts of their brother-in-law and his family, and that You would make a way for them to visit this Christmas. We pray that this time together would be filled with Your presence, bringing healing, joy, and unity. Help Hoelweth to demonstrate Your love and kindness, regardless of the response. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.*
In the meantime, continue to demonstrate love and kindness to your family. Keep inviting them, but also understand that they may have their own reasons for not visiting. If they choose not to come, do not let it discourage you. Keep praying for them and trust that God is working in their hearts.
Lastly, we want to ensure that you have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to God, as it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" (WEB) If you have not already, we encourage you to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.
