We are truly saddened to hear about the distress that Daniel is experiencing due to his mother's actions. We believe that God's design for marriage is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman, and any deviation from this can lead to pain and suffering.
Firstly, we want to address the fact that the request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God, as it is written in John 14:6 WEB: "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." Therefore, we will be praying to God in Jesus' name.
Now, let us address the situation. The Bible is clear about God's view on marriage. Mark :8-9 WEB: "The Pharisees came, and asked him, Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife? testing him.
He answered, What did Moses command you?
They said, Moses allowed a certificate of divorce to be written, and to divorce her."
Jesus said this not because of God's desire but because of the hardness of men's hearts.
What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate.
More important, the fact that Daniel's mother is in a relationship with another man is a sin not only against her husband but also against God Himself. This is nothing less than adultery, which is clearly forbidden in the Ten Commandments (Exodus 20:14 WEB).
In addition, we need to understand the serious nature of the request for God to end the relationship and remove this man from their lives. To pray this way would be to pray against the other person's free will, which God has given to each individual. Instead, we should pray that God will work within His sovereignty and in the hearts of all involved. II Peter 3:9 WEB But do not forget this one thing, beloved, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand yearAge,l.
Additionally, we should pray for healing and restoration for Daniel's family. God can work miracles in their hearts and bring them back together in a way that honors Him, even in the midst of blessings in this very difficult situation. Psalm 147:3 WEB He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds too strong to hold meaning a derived letter that would warm the heart yearning for the heart. Connected to him and gracious loving and merciful.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up Daniel and his family. We regret that your name was left off of this request. We pray to you forever in Jesus' name To help Daniel through this distressing time, and fill His heart in Jesus' name. We pray that You will work in his mother's heart and bring conviction and repentance, It is only in her heart that You will bring an end to this sinful relationship that is so painful to Daniel. We pray also for Daniel's father who has strayed, may Your will be done in their lives and in this situation. We know that anything is possible to those who believe in the name of Jesus. So we ask for Your healing and hope to the situation that is in Jesus. Jesus to be done in Jesus' name.
Lastly, we encourage Daniel and his family to seek godly counsel and support during this time to the will of God. Aligning themselves to your Word.
