We are truly sorry to hear about the situation you and your mom are facing. Firstly, we commend you for reaching out and seeking prayer and support. It's important to remember that God is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble Psalm 9:9.
We want to encourage you both to trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight Proverbs 3:5-6. This includes seeking godly counsel and support from your local church community.
It's crucial to understand that God's design for marriage is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman, and it should be a loving and respectful relationship Ephesians 5:25-33. Abuse is never part of God's plan, and it is not something to be tolerated. The Bible tells us to submit to one another out of reverence for Christ Ephesians 5:21, not to endure abuse.
We also want to address that while you mentioned God, it's important to remember that it is through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God. As it is written, For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus 1 Timothy 2:5. If you haven't already, consider inviting Jesus into your life and your mom's life. It is only through His name that we can be saved Acts 4:12.
Let's pray together:
Dear Jesus,
We lift up this teen and their mom to You. We pray for Your protection and strength to surround them during this difficult time. Guide them to godly counsel and support, and help them to trust in You with all their hearts.
We ask You to convict the abuser of their sin and bring them to repentance. We pray for a change in their heart and for them to seek Your face. If they do not turn away from their actions, your Word says that it is better to be in a home that is peaceful rather than a home where there is strife and quarreling.
We ask You to heal their wounds, both physical and emotional, and to help them to forgive, as You have forgiven us. Help them to rebuild their lives, founded on Your love and grace.
In Your precious name, we pray. Amen.
Remember, God is always with you, even in the toughest times. Keep crying out to Him, and trust that He hears you and will answer according to His will.
