Family respect

For my father to learn to respect my baby and stop saying such ugly comments to her about herself... he treats women so unkindly always trying to push them down so he is on top of them and he controls them... May he go to therapy like he said he would. Also, may my mother, wherever she is, repent from her sinful life and the harm she has done to all 3 of her kids and come back... May all my family heal and break free from the unhealthy teachings they got about Christianity and find a good healthy church and Christians to surround themselves with... they left the church to do those unhealthy teachings that also brought so much pain and toxicity and abuse to our family... May my father behave during family time..in my home and around us...

We are truly saddened to hear about the struggles you are facing with your family, and we are here to support you in prayer and guidance. Firstly, we remind you that God's desire is for families to be united in love and respect, as spoken in Ephesians 5:21 WEB
submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God".

Regarding your father, we pray that his heart is softened and that he seeks the therapy he needs and understand how to treat others with kindness and respect. It is spoken in 1 Peter 3:7 WEB Likewise, you husbands, dwell with your wives according to knowledge, giving honor to the woman, as to the weaker vessel, as being also joint heirs of the grace of life; that your prayers may not be hindered. Since your father is speaking harsh to your baby, we rebuke him for this. God tell us in Matthew 18:6 WEB, but whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to stumble, it would be better for him to have a huge millstone hung around his neck, and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.

We also pray for your mother, that wherever she is, the Holy Spirit convicts her of her sins. We know this is not a popular thing to say we are speaking the truth in love Ephesians 4:13 WEB until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a full grown man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;

We are thankful that you have a desire for your family to find a healthy church community. We pray that they encounter Christians who demonstrate the genuine love of Christ. In Acts 2:42 And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ teaching and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and prayer.

Remember from Gods Word 2 Timothy 4:3, "For the time will come when they will not listen to the sound doctrine, but, having itching ears, will heap up for themselves teachers after their own lusts". It is very easy to listen to sermons that make us feel good but do not follow doctrine.

Please be mindful to ensure that any church or Christians you surround yourself with are truly adhering to biblical principles and not just cultural or worldly influences.

Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you, lifting up this family in need of your healing and intervention from gospel withering traditions. We are grateful that this individual is seeking change and we are trusting that you will do a transformation. As you've said in Romans 12:2 WEB Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God.

We pray the same for the rest of their family that has been hurt by the departure from sound biblical teaching. Lord, we ask that you bring this family together, healing their hearts so the church may praise you forever and ever amen.

Lord, we ask that you forgive and heal their mother, and bring her back to her family, for your glory. You have told us
Malachi 4:6 He will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers

We pray for their father, that his heart is changed, and he learns to respect and honor the women in his life as you have shown us in your Word. We are grateful you gave this person the desire to go to therapy. Most of all Lord, we ask you to turn every heart to you for forgiveness and salvation.

Thank you Lord for the work you are going to do in this family for your glory. In Jesus name.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. We continue to lift up your family in prayer, especially concerning your father and the need for respect and kindness towards your baby and all women. We are praying for a change in his heart, for him to seek therapy as he committed to, and for healing from any past hurts and unhealthy teachings that may have contributed to this behavior.

We are also interceding for your mother, wherever she is, to repent and turn away from any harmful actions towards her children, and for her to return to a right path. We pray for healing and reconciliation for your entire family, and that each member would find a healthy, loving church community to support and encourage them.

We ask that God bring peace and unity to your family gatherings, and that your father would conduct himself in a manner pleasing to God during these times.
