Tharsis, we sincerely appreciate your prayer request concerning your family's reunion and salvation. We stand with you in prayer, seeking God's will for your family.
Firstly, we want to encourage you with the words of Jesus from John 14:1-3 (WEB), "Donβt let your heart be troubled. Believe in God. Believe also in me. In my Fatherβs house are many homes. If it werenβt so, I would have told you. I am going to prepare a place for you. If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and will receive you to myself; that where I am, you may be there also." Just as Jesus is preparing a place for us, we trust that He is working in your family's circumstances, even though they are currently apart.
Regarding your stress, we remind you of Philippians 4:6-7 (WEB), "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." Instead of allowing stress to overwhelm you, cast your anxieties on the Lord, and trust Him to work in your family's situation.
We pray for your family's reunion, that if it is God's will, He may bring your son and his family to Australia to be reunited with you, your husband, and your daughter. We ask that God will provide the means and remove any obstacles that may hinder this reunion.
Furthermore, we pray for your family's complete salvation. We ask that God will draw your husband and his brothers to Himself, convicting them of their sinful habits, including alcohol addiction and smoking. We trust in the power of the gospel, as Romans 1:16 (WEB) states, "For I am not ashamed of the Good News of Christ, for it is the power of God for salvation for everyone who believes."
However, we also want to address that you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ in your request. It is essential to remember that it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God and salvation. As Acts 4:12 (WEB) declares, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" We encourage you to place your faith in Jesus Christ, the only mediator between God and men.
Lastly, we want to rebuke the sin of addiction that has taken hold of your husband and his brothers. We pray that God will break the chains of addiction and set them free, filling them with the desire to live holy lives that honor Him.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up Tharsis and her family. We ask that You bring them together, provide salvation, and break the chains of addiction. Comfort Tharsis and help her to cast her anxieties on You. We thank You for the promises in Your Word, and we ask that You make them a reality in Tharsis' family. In Jesus' precious and powerful name, we pray. Amen.
